Twisted an ankle? Pulled a muscle? Picked up a strain? 🤕

Soft tissue injuries are common, whether they happen during sport, exercise or everyday activities. The good news is that most improve well with the right early management.

I’ve put together a simple guide to help you know what to do in the first few days after an injury, including how to manage pain, swelling and your return to activity.

Remember, complete rest isn’t usually the answer. Gentle movement, within your comfort levels, can often help the healing process.

Take a look through the information in the image to learn how to give your injury the best chance of recovering well.

If your pain is severe, you’re unable to bear weight, you notice significant deformity, or your symptoms aren’t improving as expected, it’s worth getting assessed by a healthcare professional.

Have you ever had a soft tissue injury? What helped you recover? Let us know in the comments. 👇

I’m off on annual leave 🇺🇸 🗽 ⚾️

Back pain doesn’t always get the memo, so if your back decides to play up while I’m away, I’ve created this quick guide to help you manage it.

Remember, most back pain settles with the right advice, staying as active as you comfortably can, and giving it a little time.

Have a read through the tips in the image, and if you develop any serious symptoms or you’re worried about what’s going on, don’t wait for your next appointment, seek medical advice ASAP!

See y’all real soon 😎

I had such a fantastic time yesterday at the Barton Theatre Group’s recent production, and was so proud to be there supporting one of my patients Elaine who was absolutely brilliant on stage! 🎭

🦵🏻 Been told you have tight hamstrings? You don’t!

🦵🏻 Not being able to touch your toes can be due to a multitude of reasons and it’s more likely because of overactive hamstrings. They are acting as a brake to prevent injury higher up. This often occurs due to a stiff thoracolumbar junction in the spine or a pelvic tilt dysfunction.

🦵🏻 no amount of hamstring stretching will get you to touch your toes
