There is a lot of pressure online to prove that we are busy, that we are trusted, that we are attending births.
But birth support is not about proving anything to the internet.
When a family invites me into their birth space, I am being trusted with something deeply personal.
I don't know who is watching my stories. I don't know who knows my client, who they have told, or who they haven't told yet.
Even sharing "I'm at a birth" can reveal something that was never mine to announce.
My clients choose when their story is shared.
Until then, it stays theirs.
Because the greatest privilege isn't showing the world the births I attend.
It's being trusted enough that families know I will protect them when nobody else is watching.
