Life doesn’t stop asking us to make choices.

Whether you’re approaching a milestone birthday, adjusting to an empty nest, recovering from a relationship ending or simply reflecting on where life is taking you, periods of change can bring both uncertainty and opportunity.

It can be helpful to have a space where you can slow down, make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and decide what comes next.

You don’t have to have all the answers before reaching out for support.

Sometimes clarity comes from having the right conversation.

Uncertainty can be one of the hardest things to live with.

When we don’t know what is going to happen, it’s easy to become stuck in worry, overthinking and anxiety. We can spend so much time trying to predict the future that we lose sight of the present.

Whether it’s uncertainty in a relationship, work, family life, health or an important decision, living with the unknown can feel exhausting, draining or overwhelming.

Sometimes counselling isn’t about finding immediate answers. It’s about finding a way to feel more grounded, more resilient and more able to cope whilst life unfolds.

What uncertainty are you carrying at the moment?

Do you ever feel responsible for everyone else’s feelings?

Many people spend years looking after others whilst quietly neglecting themselves.

You may be:
• Saying yes when you want to say no
• Feeling guilty for putting yourself first
• Carrying other people’s emotions
• Finding it difficult to set boundaries

Healthy boundaries aren’t selfish.

They’re an important part of emotional wellbeing and healthy relationships.

Therapy can provide a space to explore your needs, build confidence and develop healthier ways of relating to others.

Why do I keep ending up in the same type of relationship?

Many people come to therapy wondering why they keep repeating painful patterns in relationships.

You may find yourself:
• Overthinking interactions
• Feeling anxious when someone pulls away
• Putting others’ needs before your own
• Struggling to trust yourself

These patterns often have deeper roots and can begin long before our current relationships.

Therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from and support you in creating healthier, more secure relationships.

Do you find yourself overthinking relationships?

You might replay conversations in your mind, worry about what someone meant, or feel anxious when communication changes.

Often these patterns aren’t a sign that something is wrong with you. They can be linked to earlier experiences and ways of relating that developed long before your current relationship.

Therapy can help you understand these patterns, build self-awareness and create healthier, more secure relationships with yourself and others.

Toxic relationships don’t just hurt emotionally — they can deeply affect your body too.

When we’re caught in cycles of inconsistency, criticism, or emotional withdrawal, our nervous system often stays stuck in “fight, flight, or freeze or fawn/flop” mode.

This can lead to:

💔 Anxiety and hypervigilance
💔 Difficulty sleeping or relaxing
💔 Digestive issues or tension headaches
💔 Feeling emotionally “on edge” or disconnected

Over time, these patterns can become exhausting — and even though we know the relationship is harmful, breaking free can feel overwhelming.

As a therapist specialising in relationships and attachment, I work with clients to:

🌸Recognise unhealthy patterns
🌸Understand how past experiences shape current relationships
🌸Learn tools to calm and reset the nervous system
🌸Build the confidence to create safe, secure connections

If you’re ready to explore how your relationships are impacting your emotional and physical wellbeing, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to help you find clarity and strength.

🌸Friday Reflections: The Gift of Therapy 🌿

As the week winds down, it’s a good time to pause and reflect.

Therapy isn’t just for when things fall apart, it’s also a space to explore what’s been holding you back, especially those deep, often unconscious patterns we’ve carried for years.

Sometimes we repeat the same relationship dynamics, react from old wounds, or feel stuck in cycles of anxiety or low mood — and we don’t know why. Therapy helps bring those patterns into the light, so they no longer quietly shape your choices or stop your growth.

Therapy sessions help with the feeling of being fully heard without judgment and to help make sense of emotional triggers and repeating patterns and make changes. This will help strengthen your sense of self and feel more grounded in who you are becoming

Real change doesn’t always look dramatic, often, it’s a quiet shift: the moment you respond differently, choose your peace, or finally see and be with yourself with compassion instead of criticism.

If you’ve been thinking about support, this is your reminder: you’re allowed to grow, heal, and relate in new ways.

Wishing you a gentle weekend ahead 🌸

As part of my self care and love I treated myself to a sound bath for the very first time in my life yesterday.
What an experience and one I would recommend anyone try, if for nothing else but to lay and listen to the sounds and frequencies,
Let’s see what materialises from this over the next few days.

Addiction isn’t just about substances.
It’s about pain, disconnection, overwhelm and the ways we’ve learned to cope.

If you’re stuck in a cycle that feels out of control, therapy can help you get to the root of it.
You don’t need to hit rock bottom. You just need a space to start.

Let’s explore your story together — without shame, without judgement.
