Meet Adam! 👋

Ten years ago, Adam came to Clear as a client seeking support to get back on his feet and rebuild his confidence. Fast forward to today, and he's been working with us as a Recovery Support Worker for over 7 years!

His favorite part of the job? Seeing clients grow, gain new skills, and connect with others along their journey.

When he’s off the clock, you can usually find him:

🎧 Listening to eclectic tunes (currently into Noah Gahan)

🎮 Unwinding with some gaming

📚 Immersing himself in History, Nordic Noir, or Fantasy books

🌊 Heading off to his favorite spot, Robin Hood's Bay

We're so proud to have Adam on our team. Drop a comment below to say hi! 👇

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day, a reminder that a conversation can change, and even save, a life.

At Clear, we believe that creating safe, supportive environments where people feel heard and valued is essential to wellbeing. Through our work with organisations and communities, we are committed to promoting mental health awareness, encouraging open dialogue, and helping reduce the stigma that can prevent people from seeking support.

Let's take the time today to check in on one another, listen without judgment, and remind people that they are not alone.

💛 Every conversation matters. Every connection counts.

August is ! 🌿✨

Taking care of your mental and physical health doesn't always require grand gestures—sometimes it’s the small, daily habits that make the biggest difference.

Here are 4 simple ways to prioritise your well-being this month:

🚶‍♂️ Move: Take a 15-minute walk and stretch your body daily.

😴 Rest: Aim for 7–8 hours of sleep and limit screen time before bed.

💧 Nourish: Stay hydrated and fuel your body with wholesome foods.

🧘‍♀️ Pause: Dedicate 5 minutes to mindfulness or deep breathing.

At Clear we believe recovery and mental well-being go hand in hand with community and support. Whether it’s through our creative groups, mindfulness, or practical workshops, we're here to support adults across Kirklees on their mental health journey.

It’s time to meet another face behind CLEAR—meet Katie, Recovery Support Worker! 👋

Katie runs daily groups focused on supporting mental health and wellbeing. Her favourite part of the job? Seeing members share their own lived experiences, support one another, and grow confident enough to share their own ideas or lead a session.

Off duty, you’ll usually find her wrapped in blankets by a fire pit or enjoying the beach with a snack in hand.

We’re so grateful for everything Katie brings to our groups every day! 🙌

Meet Amena, our Volunteer Voice feature for August! 👋💙

Although she’s only just joined Clear, Amena is already making an impact—getting stuck into our services and bringing her passion for mental health support to our community.

Watch to learn a little bit about what Amena gets up to when she’s taking time for herself (think cozy movie nights, sunny afternoon teas, and a lot of Summer Walker 🎶).

Huge thank you to Amena and all of our incredible volunteers who make what we do possible! 🙌

You Said...We Did ✨
Here are some of the client suggestions from last quarter that were implemented in service.
*Beat The Monday Blues music group asked for more sessions on specific artists and genres, sessions were organised on Scooter, Pop-Punk and Queen.
*Mens Peer Support Group wanted some different activities so they will plan to do things together in future E.g. Pool trip to Rock cafe.
*You asked for more walks, so we did a recent hike around Digley Reservior which was lovely!
