You know me as the founder of Connected Kids — but there's a whole other aspect to what I do that I don't often talk about here: I've been a Reiki teacher for the past 25 years!
I used to call Reiki "meditation for the lazy" when I taught it, because honestly, all you need to do is lie back, relax, and let the energy do the work.
In my own life, it's been such a gift — it keeps me balanced, helps me sleep, is a lovely act of self-care, and often brings little insights when I'm stuck on something.
A few months ago, I felt intuitively called to start offering distance healing sessions, which wasn't something I'd planned to do. I'll only keep offering them for as long as it feels right, so if this speaks to you (for you or your children), now might be the time.
Sessions take just 20 minutes, but the effects can last much longer. You choose a time that suits you — whether you're meditating or fast asleep — and I tune in during that window, then send you a voice note afterwards with any insights that come through.
One member recently shared that she "felt much more grounded" with "several breakthroughs," and that the energy reached her "while I was asleep," leaving her with "an incredibly deep, restorative sleep."
A question I sometimes get asked — can I send this healing to your children too? If you book a session, it naturally extends to them as well. Reiki works on a code of consent, so I can't send it directly and solely to a child without their permission. Because little ones (or non-verbal children) can't always express that in words, I set the intention for the energy to work at a higher level, reaching them only if it's for their highest good.
With the full moon here, it's a beautiful time for letting go of what's weighing you (or your children) down. If you're curious, I'd love for you to try it.
