What an incredible day yesterday! πŸ’œ

WOW… where do I even begin? πŸ₯ΉπŸ’œ

Yesterday's Sophie’s Legacy fundraiser was nothing short of amazing. Thanks to the generosity, kindness and support of our incredible local community, we raised a fantastic Β£785!

From everyone who donated raffle prizes, ran stalls, bought raffle tickets, attended the event, volunteered their time, and helped spread the word – THANK YOU. Every single contribution made a difference.

Seeing so many people come together for such a beautiful cause was truly overwhelming. Sophie’s Legacy continues to bring communities together, and yesterday was a perfect example of that.

A special thank you to all our stall holders, entertainers, local businesses, volunteers, and everyone who came along to support us. The atmosphere was incredible, and we couldn't have done it without you.

I'm so proud to be part of such a caring and supportive community. πŸ’œ

Who agrees that our children should feel safe, confident and know what to do if an emergency happens at home?

At Rescue Ready Kids, we believe first aid is a life skill, not just something adults should know.

DID YOU KNOW?

Children are never too young to learn life-saving skills.

At Rescue Ready Kids, we teach children how to stay calm, act quickly, and know what to do in an emergency. Simple skills can make a huge difference and could even help save a life one day.

If someone is choking:

β€’ Encourage them to cough.

β€’ If they can't cough or breathe, call for help immediately.

β€’ An adult should give back blows and seek emergency help if needed.

If someone gets a burn:

β€’ Cool the burn under cool running water.

β€’ Never use ice, butter, or toothpaste.

β€’ Tell an adult straight away.

If someone is unresponsive:

β€’ Check for danger.

β€’ Call 999.

β€’ Start CPR if trained and follow the emergency call handler's instructions.

Our sessions are fun, interactive, and designed to give children confidence, not fear. We believe every child should know the basics of first aid because emergencies don't wait for adults to arrive.
