Wellness is about more than exercise.

It’s looking after your physical health, mental wellbeing, emotional needs and spiritual self. It’s making time to rest, reflect, connect, move, nourish and grow.

You don’t need to do everything perfectly. But making time for your wellbeing now may be one of the greatest gifts you can give your future self. 🤍

Make time for wellness — in every sense of the word.

💧 Staying hydrated in the warm weather! ☀️

Our patients have been doing a fantastic job staying hydrated with their insulated personalised water bottles.

As we age, our bodies naturally contain less water due to reduced muscle mass, and our thirst response becomes less sensitive. This means older adults may not feel thirsty even when they need fluids, making them more vulnerable to dehydration—especially in hot weather.

Dehydration can increase the risk of dizziness, fatigue, confusion, muscle cramps, urinary tract infections and falls.

✅ Good sources of hydration:
• Water
• Milk
• Herbal teas
• High-water fruit such as watermelon and oranges

⚠️ Not-so-good sources of hydration:
• Alcohol
• Too much caffeine
• Diuretics, including some medications
• Sugary drinks, which are less helpful than water for regular hydration

⚠️ Signs of dehydration:
• Dark urine
• Dry mouth
• Headaches
• Dizziness or tiredness

With warmer temperatures, keep a drink close by, sip regularly throughout the day, and don’t wait until you feel thirsty. Grab a bottle to help you track how much you’ve drank.

Well done to all our patients making hydration a priority this summer! 💙💧

Rolled your ankle or hurt your knee and walked it off? You’re not alone🙋🏼

A sprain is an injury to a ligament, and while many people return to normal activity once the pain settles, that doesn’t always mean the joint has fully recovered.

Ligaments don’t just need time — they need the right strength, balance, and control around them to properly support the joint again.

If not fully rehabilitated, sprains can hang around in the background… reduced confidence, repeat injuries, or that feeling your joint just isn’t quite as stable as it used to be.

Physiotherapy helps restore strength and stability so you’re not just “back to normal”, but back with confidence.

Don’t just wait for it to feel better — help it ❤️‍🩹

Mike turned 76 today 🎈

He came to the class, and afterwards he came up to me and said:
“Thank you for the best birthday present — you running this class so I can attend and be a better version of the man I was last year.”

That stopped me in my tracks.

When we’re younger, we count birthdays.
As we get older, we sometimes stop celebrating them as much.

But the truth is — every birthday is a gift.

And showing up on your birthday, choosing growth, choosing strength, choosing to become better than you were a year ago… that’s something truly special.

Because as we get older, each birthday isn’t just about getting older — it’s about becoming wiser, stronger, and more intentional with the life we’re given.

Mike reminded me today that aging isn’t something to fear. It’s something to honour.

Here’s to celebrating not just the years in our life but the life in our years 🩵

Be like Mike💙

💪 Eight months of showing up, putting in the work, and is now reaping the rewards! He’s always been strong, but balance has been his biggest challenge — until now. 🌟

He’s now able to stand on one leg while putting on his trousers (a big win for daily life 👖🙌), and has found our reactive stepping drills both helpful and challenging in the best way. 🚶‍♂️💥

It’s proof that with consistency, the right exercises, and a little determination, real change happens — not just in the gym, but in everyday moments that matter most❤️.

Muscle is the organ of longevity 💙

Skeletal muscle plays a vital role in healthy ageing. It supports balance, mobility, bone density, blood sugar control, and overall physical resilience.

As we get older, maintaining muscle strength reduces the risk of falls, frailty, chronic disease, and loss of independence.

Muscle isn’t about appearance - it’s about independence, confidence, and living well for longer❤️

From frequent falls to zero falls.

Listen to one of our incredible class participants on how the class has helped him 😍

Progress isn’t always loud, but it is life-changing✨

This is what real progress looks like. 💪✨

When we’re younger, we take balance for granted—until it’s gone.

Balance isn’t just about movement; it’s about independence, confidence, and safety❤️
