WOW… WHAT A DAY! THANK YOU, SPIRIT FEST!

I genuinely don’t quite know where to begin.

Today was the first ever public event for The Witch and the Orca, and I can honestly say I couldn’t have wished for a better beginning.

To every single person who came over to our stall, stopped for a chat, asked about The Witch and the Orca, complimented the new brand, bought something, shared a laugh with us or simply took the time to say hello…

THANK YOU.

The response to The Witch and the Orca has absolutely blown me away. Hearing so many people say how much they love the name, the branding, the witchy side of what I’m creating and what it represents has meant more to me than I can possibly put into words.

There may not have been any Reiki appointments today and you know what? That’s absolutely fine! Because today became about something else.

It became about introducing The Witch and the Orca.

It became about meeting wonderful people, old friends and new faces.

And most importantly, it showed me that people want to see more of the witchy side of what I do.

And believe me… there is plenty more to come.

I also have to give a HUGE thank you to the wonderful Nikola Low and charlotte who joined me today with her incredible collection of bones, antlers and creations. I knew her work was beautiful, but watching people fall in love with it today was something else! The bone wind chimes, crystal pieces, antler creations, wings and sage wafters were absolutely stunning — and some of them practically flew off the stall!

I think today may well have been the beginning of a very exciting partnership.

And a very special thank you has to go to Stacey Bower, who organised the entire Spirit Fest.

Putting together an event like this takes an incredible amount of time, effort and hard work, and today brought together such a wonderful collection of people, stalls and beautiful energy. Thank you, Stacey, for making it all happen and for giving people like us the opportunity to come together, share what we do and meet so many amazing people.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to Stacy and to everyone at Spirit Fest who made today what it was.

I came home with more than a few sales.

I came home excited.
I came home inspired.
I came home full of ideas.
And I came home knowing that The Witch and the Orca is exactly where I want to be.

Today was only the beginning.

..your cinnamon!

It's the 1st of the month, which means it's time for one of my favourite little prosperity rituals!
Take a pinch of ground cinnamon, stand outside your front door, set your intention for abundance, success, happiness, and new opportunities, then gently blow the cinnamon through your doorway and into your home.
As you do, you could say:
"As this cinnamon blows through my door,
May abundance, prosperity and blessings enter evermore.
May my home be filled with joy, love and peace.
So mote it be."

Whether you see it as magic, mindfulness, or simply a beautiful monthly tradition, it's a wonderful way to welcome a new month with positive energy and intention.

And yes... I know exactly what you were thinking when you read the first line! 😏😂

JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST SONGKEEPER COVEN CIRCLE – LAMMAS

The wheel turns once more, and we gather to celebrate Lammas (Lughnasadh) – the first harvest festival of the year.

Lammas is a time to pause, reflect, and honour the seeds we have planted in our lives, whether they are dreams, relationships, healing, or personal growth. Together we'll give thanks for what has flourished and set our intentions for the season ahead.

This is more than just an evening around a table. It is a guided spiritual experience where you'll be welcomed into sacred space with warmth, respect and community.

The evening will include:
Welcome and refreshments
Opening of our sacred circle
Guided grounding and meditation
Learning about the history and meaning of Lammas
Bread of Gratitude ceremony
Harvest candle ritual
Nature offering ceremony
Time for reflection, connection and community
Closing blessing and circle

📅 Date: Saturday 1st August
🕖 Time: 7:00pm until late

💷 Investment: £30 per person

To secure your place, a £15 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This allows us to prepare the evening properly and ensures every reserved space is genuinely taken. The remaining £15 is payable on the evening.

Please bring a small natural offering to place on our community altar. This could be a flower, leaf, feather, shell or stone something gifted by nature that holds meaning for you.

Whether you're completely new to pagan spirituality or you've walked this path for many years, you'll be welcomed with open arms. There is no judgement here only friendship, learning, laughter and shared experience.

This is the very first public gathering of The Songkeeper Coven, held in partnership with The Witch and the Orca, and I'd be honoured to share this special evening with you.

How I Found Reiki

People often assume I found Reiki because I wanted to become a healer.

The truth is, Reiki found me when I needed healing myself.

Like many people, I've had my share of challenges, difficult times, and moments where life felt heavier than it should.

During my spiritual journey, I found myself searching for something deeper. Something that helped me reconnect with myself, find peace, and understand my own path.

That's when Reiki entered my life.

At first, I was simply curious.

But the more I learned, the more I realised Reiki wasn't just a treatment.

It was a way of reconnecting with the energy around us, trusting our intuition, and creating space for healing on every level — mind, body and spirit.

The more I experienced Reiki, the more I knew I wanted to share it with others.

Not because I believed I could "fix" anyone.

But because I had experienced what it felt like to be supported, listened to, and held in a safe space while finding my own way forward.

Today, every Reiki session I offer carries that same intention.

A calm space.

A listening ear.

And the opportunity to pause from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself.

It's one of the greatest privileges of my life to do this work.

The others protect.

The whole pod celebrates.

Nature reminds us that true strength isn't measured by how much we can carry alone.

It's measured by how willing we are to carry one another.

Offer encouragement.
Share kindness.
Listen without judgement.

You never know how much your presence could mean to someone.

Just like the orca, we are strongest when we remember...
