One of my students, Nan, was 80 years old.

I was in my late thirties.

I was demonstrating a Taoist Yoga exercise and explaining that we should never force a position.

I showed the class how far I could comfortably go.

Nan then demonstrated the extension with no difficulty at all.

I laughed and said:

"When I'm 80, will I be able to do that?"

Now the years are passing by, I often think of Nan and smile.

Would you love a way to calm your mind, ease aches and stiffness, and feel more balanced at the end of a busy day?
T’ai Chi became that for me.
I started at 27 — now at 73, the movements are simply part of who I am. They’ve helped me stay fit, active, calm, and connected to life in a gentle, natural way.
T’ai Chi isn’t about rushing or competing. It’s about moving at your own pace and feeling good in yourself.
And after all these years… I still love it. ❤️

What if the secret to moving more comfortably after hip or knee surgery wasn’t pushing harder… but moving more gently, more consistently, and with the right support? Over the past 40 years, I have helped many people both before and after hip or knee replacement surgery. Every person is different — there is no “one size fits all” approach. Each body responds in its own way, and everyone experiences both good days and difficult days along the journey.
Attending one of my classes can offer you more personalised support, because I work with the individual in front of me, not a fixed formula. What I have witnessed time and time again is that consistency truly matters. Healing and improvement rarely come from forcing the body or striving for perfection. It is the gentle, regular repetition of movement that often brings the greatest benefit.
There is no miracle cure, and no one can promise instant results. Your body is unique, and your recovery is your own. But if you have never tried LFA T’ai Chi with me, you may never discover how much it could help you feel stronger, steadier, and more confident in your movement.
www.lfataichi.online you will find a full class timetable of both face to face classes and live zoom online classes. Your first zoom online class is free, to find out if it is the right fit for you. If you would like to try a zoom class just send me a message or a text and we can arrange a class for you. The Taoist Walk helps people struggling with balance issues and back pain. The movements can be adjusted to make sure each movement is fully supported.

Zoom online - interactive course - learn from the comfort of your own home.
Most people learn T’ai Chi as a sequence of movements.
What if each movement is part of a much deeper energetic map?
Starting at the very beginning, we will explore one sequence per month from the 42 Form linking each movement to:
The meridians
The Five Elements
Organ energy
The Microcosmic & Macrocosmic Orbits
This slow, structured approach makes the course ideal for both beginners and experienced practitioners wishing to deepen their understanding.

Comprehensive manual included we each session
