I had a fabulous evening yesterday at The Rickyard Cafe in Romsley with their team of lovely staff. 🥰

We started the course at 4pm once the cafe had closed for the day and carried on whilst eating our fab tea that the cafe had provided.

It’s a wonderful place - you must give it a try! A gorgeous cafe with indoor and outdoor seating areas, goats to feed and plenty of parking!

Good luck to Wall Heath in Bloom who have their RHS Assessment today!!! 🍀

I have given the group of volunteers 6 free places on my courses over the past couple of years, to ensure they are safe when working around the village where I live.

The work they have done is incredible. The flowers, planting areas and general tidiness are just wonderful.

I wish them the best of luck today! I have everything crossed for you!!🤞

I’m very lucky to get to work with such lovely people and at such fabulous places!

Today I’ve been with a wonderful, talented bunch of Pilates & Yoga Instructors at Lightwoods House in Bearwood.

The group were from many different Birmingham based studios, all coming together to share a days training. It was such a positive atmosphere - despite the heat!!!

A huge thank you to Becky at Pause Pilates for arranging and organising the course and also to 1000 Trades who run the cafe / bar at Lightwoods. They offered the use of their room for free as they felt it was such a worthwhile thing that we were doing. Please go along to visit. It’s a beautiful venue with a wonderful cafe bar!!!

A lovely big air conditioned room and free ice cream at lunch time!!! 🍦

Bleed Kits are becoming more and more popular these days - which is brilliant news!! They’re very much needed and complete lifesavers - on a par with Defibs really!…..

The issue I have is that you really need to know HOW to use the items inside a bleed kit to make a difference in a life threatening Emergency. It’s no use having a Bleed Kit & not knowing how to use the equipment inside it!!!

It’s not like a Defib in that sense, as it doesn’t speak to you. It won’t tell you what to do!

I offer a short face to face Life Threatening Bleed course - just a couple of hours - which means you can learn what to do and actually get hands on practice and have a go with things such as haemostatic products, trauma dressings and tourniquets. I’ll even show you how you could improvise these items if you don’t have the real thing.

The course attached is also a fantastic FREE online alternative, though obviously you don’t get to have that hands on practice, but at least you’d have the knowledge…
