🧡🧡
I used to work in management, and I loved it, I thrived in it and if you’d told me 10 years ago I’d be doing anything else, I wouldn’t have believed you. But then my son needed me in a different way, and the job I loved didn’t have room for the version of me that needed to drop everything at a moment’s notice.
So I tried to build something of my own, I trained as a nutritional therapist and I created a self-care subscription box for Mums. Both of them were mine, both of them mattered to me and both of them still needed me to show up every week.
When my son was unwell there was no pause button and the business didn’t stop needing me just because he did.
Tropic has been different because it’s genuinely built to flex around a life like mine, there are no monthly targets hanging over me, no stock sitting in my hallway, no overheads eating into what I make. I put in what I have to give that week which could be nothing and it holds because I’m not running the business alone.
I’m not going to pretend I’m earning big money because I’m not, what I do earn covers the extras, a weekend away, gifts for the people I love, more books than I probably need (guilty) and a discount on the Tropic products I’d be buying anyway.
It’s not a fortune but it is breathing room. 🫁
After years of trying to force a business to work around a life that kept changing shape breathing room is worth a lot.
If you are curious about how Tropic could give you some breathing space we have an informal information evening on Wednesday night (22nd) at 8pm. No pressure, come for a chat and see how it feels for you.
DM me for the zoom link or if you have any questions.
Much love
Nia
