At Tempus Group Villages, we believe support should extend beyond the individual. It should help people stay connected, maintain independence and wellbeing, and give families greater reassurance along the way.

'Where could my children come and see me thriving in the years ahead?'

After being diagnosed with CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) in 2022 at age 44, Chris Simpson-Daniel began searching for answers, not just for himself, but for the hundreds and potentially thousands of former athletes and military personnel facing similar challenges.

That question became the foundation of Tempus.

Our vision is to create specialist communities where people can continue to live with purpose, dignity and connection, giving families the reassurance of seeing their loved ones not simply cared for, but truly thriving.

One of England's greatest footballers. One of the nation's most respected broadcasters. A recognised voice in the conversation around brain health in football.

We are proud to welcome Gary Lineker as a shareholder of Tempus Group Villages York.

Gary has enjoyed an outstanding career both on and off the pitch, becoming one of England's greatest goalscorers before establishing himself as one of the country's most respected broadcasters. In recent years, he has also helped shine a light on the importance of brain health in football, encouraging greater awareness of the long-term impact of head injuries and the need to better protect players.

His impact hasn’t stopped since hanging up his boots. Through coaching, mentoring and developing the next generation of players, Gifton has remained committed to using football as a force for positive change.
