✨ A new chapter for Bayfields Canterbury ✨

We're delighted to share the transformation of our Canterbury practice, creating an even better environment for clients seeking personalised eye care and hearing care.

The refurbishment has introduced refreshed clinical spaces, an expanded designer eyewear collection featuring Tom Ford, Gucci and Face à Face, and paves the way for the launch of audiology services from 29 September.

While there's plenty that's new, clients will still find the same dedicated team and personalised care they've come to know and trust.

🌘 Watching tomorrow's solar eclipse? Your sunglasses won't protect your eyes.

Many people are surprised to learn that even the darkest sunglasses aren't safe for viewing a solar eclipse. Looking directly at the sun can damage the retina, and the effects may be permanent.

If you're planning to watch:

✅ Use certified eclipse glasses marked ISO 12312-2
✅ Use approved solar filters for cameras, binoculars and telescopes
❌ Don't use ordinary sunglasses, however dark they are
❌ Don't look directly at the sun through optical equipment without a solar filter attached

Tomorrow's eclipse is a great reminder that our eyes need protecting all year round. If you're heading outside to catch a glimpse, make sure you're viewing safely.
