The next Birth and Early Day’s Preparation Course’s are now LIVE and ready to book! There’s a spot waiting just for you and TWO courses to choose from!

Courses are designed to be:

✨Warm, welcoming, safe and comfortable
✨Informative and unbias. No hidden agenda, no trying to lead you down any particular birth pathway. Just clear, honest and open conversation with evidenced based information.
✨Engaging and informal with plenty of opportunity to connect with other parents-to-be. No cringey ice breakers here though!
✨Empowering and confidence building with a focus on supporting you to advocate for your choices, throughout your pregnancy, birth and journey into parenthood.

📍Courses run from Nursery in Headingley on a Saturday morning. Think chilled, cosy, warm and nurturing 🥰

💛5 weeks, 2hr sessions, snacks and refreshments included as well as a goody bag and a before noon tea for our celebratory final week.

Hello! 👋

You might have noticed (or not!) that I’ve been a little bit quiet on here this last month or so.

I took a really important work pause during a whirlwind of a month for my family. It’s so important to recognise when a step back is needed, whatever that might look like for you. Time out from social media, work, or simply listening to what your mind and body needs 💛

Parenting and keeping your head above water whilst things feel a lot, is tough work and it’s okay to acknowledge that. We can’t do it all 💛

…and that’s exactly what I stated Our Baby Club Leeds for. To empower and support other parents, just like myself, to feel supported, lifted and nurtured. You simply cannot plan for everything 💛

But now I’m rejuvenated and back! I’m so looking working to this year and everything I have planned for Our Baby Club Leeds! 👀

Group Courses start back this Spring/Summer -due your baby this year? Keep your eyes peeled for all things 🤗🥰

Gorgeous, gorgeous reunion with these wonderful new(ish!) parents and their beautiful babies! 💛

Being reunited with some of the parents from my first ever Birth and Early Days course feels pretty special and meeting the babies that were once the bums has filled my cup today! 💛

We were able to reflect on incredible birth stories and all things parenting…All whilst nibbling on delicious Indian food .three.swords - perfect! 💛

What brilliant parents you are and what absolutely fantastic little babes you have 🥰

🥂🥳 Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! 🥳 🥂

What a year it’s been for ❤️ I want to wish my wonderful course attendees a huge thank you, and also anyone who has supported this small business in its first year of life 🥰

Here’s some of the best bits of 2025 - Remember a highlight reel is just that! I’ve missed out the tears, tantrums, hospital visits, failures and anxieties. There wasn’t enough room for it all 🙃

January - I started studying for my Diploma in Antental and Postnatal Education, whilst juggling Maternity Leave and toddler mumming 🥴

February - The official launch of OBC Leeds! 💛

March - Sussed out my gorgeous venues and qualified as an Antenatal and Postnatal Educator! 💪🏻

April - My first Show and Launch Competition 🏆

May - The first course was underway 💛

June - Celebrating my two babies birthday’s 🎉 and more wonderful courses to deliver.

July - A much needed family holiday ☀️

August - More course attendees and a summer spent with friends and family 💛

September - Began my Breastfeeding Peer Support Course with and my big boy started school 🥹

October - More course attendees and gorgeous feedback 💛

November - Celebrated my birthday with my best friends and family 🎂 and finishing my BF course!

December - Spent a busy Christmas surrounded by family and feeling very loved 🎄

…what a year!

I’m so very much looking forward to 2026 and exciting things ahead. A new wonderful job to start supporting more families, volunteering with and continuing to provide empowering, non-judgemental and honest Antenatal and Postnatal Education through 💛

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year from 🎄❄️

What a wonderful year it has been! Starting the first Antenatal Courses in May of this year and then going on to meet lots of incredible parents-to-be (new parents now!) delivering more supportive Antenatal Courses throughout the year, coming together to connect, nurture and empower through education, honesty and zero judgement. 💪🏻❤️

Thinking of all of those new parents now, soaking up the first Christmas with their babies and reflecting on the year just gone, and looking ahead to next year and all of the wonderful (and sometimes daunting) changes to come. It is such a special time, but not always an easy and joyful time for everyone, so if that’s you, I’m thinking of you too. Be kind to yourselves always. ❤️

Thank you so very much for all of your support always ❤️

I’m looking ahead to 2026 with so much excitement! Continuing to provide group and 1:1 Antenatal and Postnatal Education for families in Leeds, a new exciting job role to start and volunteering as a Breastfeeding Peer Mentor. 🫂

For now though, it’s time for rest, pjs, snacks and Christmas chaos (and magic) that a 4yr old and an 18mo brings! 🎅🏻❤️

Let’s talk Mastitis! 🥴 Ouch!

💛 Did you know that the rates of Mastitis increase at Christmas time?

💛 It’s really important that we know some of the reasons for this, so that we can plan now to protect ourselves and prevent the risk of getting Mastitis - especially at Christmas time 🎄

Here is some of the reasons for the increase in risk:

⭐️ A change in your usual routine - this can mean anything that’s different to what your typical day with your baby might look like. Christmas is exciting, there’s loads going on, make sure you plan for those changes now in terms of breastfeeding your baby.
⭐️Changes to how often you travel - increased time in the car for baby can mean more sleep for baby, which can mean less feeds!
⭐️Feeling stressed, tired and rundown - Christmas isn’t all joy and fun for some of us it can feel exhausting. When we’re run down, we’re more susceptible to infections like Mastitis.
⭐️A change in sleeping arrangements - do you stay away from home at Christmas? Is it as comfortable as it normally is, to feed in your temporary bed?
⭐️Family pressure and sharing of opinions - are you less comfortable breastfeeding in front of more or certain family members?
⭐️Parties and celebrations - you might be staying away from baby for longer periods of time of Christmas.
⭐️More people to hold and cuddle baby - this can be an amazing break for you but can also result in missed feeding cues.
⭐️ Festive clothing - it’s lovely to get dressed up at Christmas! Consider your clothing and if it’s comfortable on your breasts and still allows for comfortable access for feeding.

‼️Signs to looks at for:

🔴 A hot, painful to touch breast, a feeling of fullness and sometimes a hard lump.
🔴 A change in colour around the area.
🔴Consistent pain in the breast or whilst feeding especially.
🔴Nipple discharge.
🔴 Flu symptoms.

What to do:

✅ Keep feeding as normal - try not to stop.
✅ Apply cold for comfort.
✅ Check babies latch and try various feeding positions for comfort and drainage.
✅ Rest and stay hydrated.

‼️If symptoms don’t improve within 12-24hrs it is vital that you seek medical help - you may need treatment.
