This may ...

Sound a little off the wall, but bear with me please!!
Water - it ebbs and it flows; it swirls and it swells, it holds hidden depths, and it can carry you on the crest of its waves ... Water links with emotions, right?

Mediumship - it varies in strength and clarity, it offers affirming, surface level information, and it can share the deep, life changing evidence of Spirit survival ... Emotions reach to the heart of Mediumship, yes?

When a Surfer heads out to catch the day's waves, they don't know how their time on the ocean will go ... Sure, they understand and observe conditions, but until they're out there, riding the waves, they don't know how their session will turn out.

When a Medium prepares for a Private Reading or Public Demonstration, they have no way of knowing how their connections will flow. Yes, they monitor and manage their energy in readiness, but the Spirit links and how their links will go, is unknown.

The Surfer always aims catch the best waves of the day, to be able to maintain their balance and ride high on the waves' crests that are presented to them. They trust in their years of practice, understanding, skill and ability to - literally, stay afloat.

Likewise the Medium always aims to make and maintain a strong connection with the Spirits who come forward to communicate. They rely on their many years of development, energy, levels - their ability to present Spirit's messages accurately.

Both the Surfer and the Medium spend many years tirelessly honing their craft, they start each day not knowing how long they will be able to connect and work with the different waves or Spirit that come their way, or the ultimate outcome.

Both the Medium and the Surfer love and place their trust in something far greater than themselves ... So you see, they are not so different after all, are they?

Last Saturday ...

How was this a whole week ago?
My 'Getting Creative with Spirit' workshop was enjoyed by all who attended; they worked beautifully, had fun while blending with Spirit, enjoying the creative activities Spirit set for them in a lovely setting.

From Encaustic art, to working with experimental pastel 'layering', to inspirational and inspired writing and sharing Readings with each other - there was a lot going on - but in a relaxed, unhurried, stressless manner.

I'm happy to share some lovely feedback; a few spaces are already taken for my next workshops. In July the focus is on Spirit Guides - being able to effectively connect with your Guides while getting to know, like and trust them ... In October we focus on the Process of Mediumship and how we help or hinder both Spirit and ourselves.

As always, I work in partnership with Spirit on these days and do my best to make the day enjoyable and look after our guests, inviting them to make use of the popular complimentary 'nourishment and rehydration station' throughout the day; as well as being nice to offer, it's important as it helps guests to re-ground, too.

When did you last take a day 'for you' and enjoyed a Spiritual workshops? 🤔

When we talk ...

About 'grounding', it simply means changing your state - becoming present in the moment and fully aware of your surroundings.

When connecting and working with Spirit - or any other energetic 'healing' based activities you are - however lightly, spending time in a slightly altered state (which can mean anything from full on Trance, to daydreaming) - not entirely practical!!

As tempting as it may be to stay in the lovely 'softer' way of being, this is not conducive to everyday living - rather akin to driving a car without the engine being in full working order; rather difficult (and impractical) to attend to everyday tasks!!

By grounding, you re-engage your sense of focus, which enables you to direct your attention where it needs to be; concentrating on the here and now.
Grounding can be easily achieved by doing something either physical or practical:

Have a drink & a biscuit or piece of fruit - this gives you physical energy, important for both your mind and body.

Listening to music or singing songs literally moves your attention to a different wavelength, engages your senses in the here and now. you will also likely take in more oxygen.

Smell the roses, touch the bark of a tree or run your hands through some earth. You can't fail to ground when you connect with and spend time in nature!!

Move!! Even something as simple as wiggling your hands and feet will work ... Even better, get up and move around for a short time.

On this Thursday, the 28th May Rutland Spiritual Centre are looking forward to our regular Divine Service, led this time by our good friend Nikki Prime.

Nikki will be a familiar face to many; we are in for a lovely evening, with uplifting music, good company - and of course, some wonderful communication from Spirit.

Refreshments are served after the service along with a choice of cake/biscuits. There is also chance to receive a gift from our Lucky Ticket table. £5 entry includes your Refreshments & Lucky Tickets.

All are welcome ... so whether you are a regular, a returner or visiting us for your first time ... you are assured of a warm welcome!!

Hi there ...

No where near as 'polished' or on brand a Reel as normal, as I've not been able to book in with Jess , but I didn't want to leave it any longer, so i've gone rogue 🤔🙈🤭

I know my logo's in the wrong place and it's in a box, which it isn't usually ... Some how managed to add some captions for you; not quite correct though as I don't know how to edit them 🤦‍♀️

Two evenings to look forward to this week!!

Co-ordinating the 3rd collaborative Psychic Supper with Rutland Spiritual Centre & the Twisted Trout in Empingham on Wednesday ... Swiftly followed by Chairing for Nikki Gunn at Rutland Spiritual Centre's Evening of Mediumship on Thursday!!

It's a good job that I'm feeling more like myself again!! 🥰
