Relatable/Awareness Post
Over the last couple of days, I've had a reminder of just how important it is not to ignore dental pain💛🦷
What started as toothache, quickly became swelling, a lot of pain and eventually a trip to A&E. After being assessed, I was prescribed antibiotics and stronger pain relief, while I try to get an NHS dental appointment.
Thankfully, after a good night's sleep and the antibiotics starting to work, the swelling has gone down and I am beginning to feel more like myself😊
One thing this experience has taught me is that our health can change so quickly. We often carry on because we are busy with work, family or caring for others, but sometimes our body tells us it needs us to stop and listen.
If you are struggling with persistent tooth pain, swelling, or you know something does not feel right, please do not ignore it. Getting advice early could save you a lot of discomfort.
A huge thank you to my friend for taking me to the hospital; the GP who helped me and of course to Adam 🐴🥰, who greeted me with several very enthusiastic whinnies when I got home. I think he was making sure I knew I had been missed😊
Today and over the next week, I am taking things more slowly, allowing the antibiotics to do their job, and feeling grateful that each day is a little better than the last.
Take care of yourselves everyone. Your health really is your greatest asset💛
