Whether it's changing the bed sheets, preparing a meal or simply lending a helping hand, it's the everyday acts of kindness that help people continue living safely and independently in their own homes.

To our incredible Support Workers, thank you for everything you do. Your compassion, dedication and hard work never go unnoticed, and we're so grateful to have you as part of the SIL family. 💙✨

A dog is a man's best friend… and with a little support from SIL, that special bond can continue for as long as possible.💙 🐾

Our pets are so much more than companions. They bring comfort, routine, purpose and unconditional love, often becoming an important part of our daily lives and wellbeing.🐕

As people grow older or their circumstances change, caring for a beloved pet can sometimes become more challenging. Our Support Workers provide practical assistance that allows people to continue enjoying the companionship of their furry friends without having to say goodbye before they're ready.🐩

Supporting someone to remain independent isn't just about helping around the home, it's about protecting the things that matter most to them. For many of the people we support, that includes the wagging tail waiting to greet them each morning.

At SIL, we're proud to help people continue living safely and independently in the homes they love, with the pets they love too. 🐶💙

Here's the lovely Susan enjoying a game of pool with her Support Worker through our Independent Living at Home (ILH) service. Sometimes, all it takes is having someone by your side to offer reassurance, encouragement and a little extra support to help you do the things you love and enjoy life with confidence.

It's moments like these that remind us what person-centred support is all about: building friendships, creating memories and empowering people to live independently, one game, one outing and one smile at a time.

Over the past three decades, we've learnt so much. Our years of experience have given us invaluable insight into what truly makes a difference: listening, building meaningful relationships, and putting the people we support at the heart of everything we do. ✨

Thirty years on, we're still driven by the same purpose: helping people across Herefordshire live independently, with dignity, choice and confidence.

Have you ever wondered why some of our Support Workers wear a uniform, while others are dressed in everyday clothes? 💙

The answer is simple: because the people we support are at the heart of every decision we make. Our Homecare Support Workers wear a uniform to provide reassurance and help people feel confident that the person arriving at their door is someone they know and trust. Meanwhile, our Independent Living at Home (ILH) Support Workers often wear everyday clothing, allowing support to feel as natural and unobtrusive as possible when out in the community. For many people, this helps promote choice, privacy and independence, ensuring they can enjoy everyday life in the way that feels most comfortable to them.🏡

At SIL, we know that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to care. By tailoring the way we work to each individual's wishes and needs, we can provide support that feels personal, respectful and empowering, because that's exactly how it should be. 💙
