Hi, I am Jane and I have been teaching children's yoga since 2009. I trained the year before in Adult Kundalini Yoga, which I have been practicing since the year 2000. Yoga has a very special place in my heart and the technology of yoga, sound, mantra, is something that children love, if taught in a fun, exciting and creative way. Children's yoga allows me to use my creativity, and I love to see t

heir the children use theirs and see their imagination run wild. When the children learn the techniques at such an early age, it stays with them for life. the mantras that we sing, are particularly good for bedtime, and the feedback that I get from parents, is that the children use these without being prompted at bedtime. They know it works, calming them and getting them ready to relax:)

We are back at the Scout Hut in Arlesey today, for another day of yogic fun, games, outdoor play (before it gets to hot), then the Ice will come out to help us stay cool.
Foot baths, ice massages, ice lolly pops, and I whole host of cool fun.

A full day of forest yoga, Toega, our HLY Gladiators course, shot put, singing bowls and arts & crafts, sensory and relaxation.

I am at Aspley Marina this morning waiting to head off to Galley Hill Primary 🥰for a day of yoga at their sports day.

WHAT WILL WE BE GETTING UP TO AT YOGA CAMP THIS YEAR?

This year we are at Arlesey Scout Hut and with that incredible outdoor space, we're taking it all outside.

Forest yoga among the trees
Toega — yes, Toe Yoga! Have you ever tried it?
The HLY Gladiators course, for anyone up for a challenge.
Shot put challenges — bring a sock and a tennis ball (the ball must fit in the sock!)
Arts and crafts — nature pictures
Sensory and relaxation
Drumming and movement to wake up those little bodies.
Breathing games that help little ones calm a racing heart or a busy mind.
Singing bowls — exploring sound and vibration, and what it does to water.

By the end of the day, they've built something they'll carry with them long after camp is over:
