Elluminate Wellness A gentle space for nervous system healing, emotional balance, and coming back to you

Feature Friday 🌿

This week’s theme has been Human by Nature, so it felt very fitting to share another local space that’s helping young people reconnect with creativity, confidence and practical skills in such a lovely way.

I recently came across Create & Chat Collective and instantly loved what they’re doing.

In a world where so much of life is online and fast-paced now, I think spaces where children can slow down, make things with their hands, learn practical creative skills and simply be encouraged to explore and create are incredibly important.

Because creativity isn’t just about making pretty things.

It teaches problem-solving.
Creative thinking.
Lateral thinking.
Patience.
Adaptability.
Confidence.
The ability to keep trying when something doesn’t work first time.

And I think having creative outlets from a young age also gives children somewhere healthy to put their thoughts, emotions and energy. It gives them space to regulate, express themselves and discover what they’re capable of in a way that feels natural rather than forced.

There’s something really special about learning to make something yourself. Not just for the skill itself, but for the sense of capability and self-belief that comes with it too.

I also absolutely love seeing spaces where young people are treated as capable creators rather than passive consumers.

And huge congratulations to Create & Chat Collective on recently receiving National Lottery funding 🌿✨ It’s always lovely seeing good people with good ideas being supported to grow what they do, and I’m excited to see what opportunities that opens up for them going forward.

If you haven’t already, definitely go and have a little look at what they do 🧵✨

I think this is exactly the sort of thing we need more of — spaces where people can create, connect, learn and remember what it feels like to be human together again.

Thankful Thursday 🌿

This week’s theme has been Human by Nature, and I think more than anything it’s reminded me how important the right people are.

Not just being surrounded by people for the sake of it, but being around the people who make you feel calmer, lighter, more yourself somehow.
The ones you can properly exhale around. The people who encourage you, support you, make you laugh, challenge you in good ways and remind you who you are when life gets noisy.

I’ve had lots of little moments of that this week.
Creative evenings.
Good conversations.
Time outside.
Music.
Sea air.
Time with the horses.
People sharing ideas and energy and encouragement.

None of it particularly flashy, but all of it important.

It’s also why I’m so looking forward to our Summer Solstice Walk & Sauna with Largo Castaway next Sunday 🌿✨

A few hours to slow down a little, connect with nature, connect with good people and just enjoy being human for a bit. Walking, talking, sea swimming if you fancy it, sauna, fresh air and hopefully a beautiful evening to finish the week.

And because it’s Thankful Thursday… I’d actually love to know who your people are, and let them know they are loved and appreciated too.

Tag someone you’re grateful for — someone who makes life feel lighter, safer, calmer or simply more fun to walk through. Or share this with someone you’d love to come along to the solstice evening with 💛

Happy Choose-day ✨️

I think one of the biggest choices we can make these days is choosing the things that help us feel a little bit more human again.

Choosing to get outside.
Choosing conversation instead of just scrolling.
Choosing movement when your head feels busy.
Choosing creativity.
Choosing connection.
Choosing to actually participate in life instead of constantly rushing through it.

Not perfectly, and not all the time. Just a little more often.

Because I don’t think humans were designed to live disconnected from nature, creativity, movement and each other.

And I think that’s why spaces like Elluminate Studio matter so much to me.

Not because we’re doing anything huge or groundbreaking, but because for a few hours people get to slow down a bit. Sit round a table. Chat. Create. Work on something with their hands. Drink tea. Be around like-minded people. Just… be human together again 💛

And actually, that’s exactly what we’re doing again tonight ✨

There are still a couple of spaces left for Elluminate Studio this evening if you fancy bringing along a project, getting creative, or just spending a few hours in good company while your creative juices flow 🌿

Hello Monday ✨️

This weekend has really reminded me how much we all need connection....

Not necessarily huge life-changing moments. Just all the little bits in between.

We went to listen to live music last night - the fabulous Budapest Cafe Orchestra!
I got a little bit of time with my boys 🐴 and even Kenzie had a play and did brilliantly listening and connecting too, which made me super proud.
A lovely hour down at Largo Castaway Sauna with Tanya and Sam to refresh and revitalise

Just simple little moments.

I think modern life pulls us away from those things more than we realise sometimes. We get busy, distracted, overwhelmed… and disconnected.

And yet the things that seem to help us feel best are often the simplest ones:
music,
movement,
nature,
conversation,
community,
creativity,
animals,
being outside.

Not just consuming life all the time… actually participating in it.

We are human by nature, and I truly believe we need to get back to what it is to be human more.....

And excitingly, this is also the week we’ve decided to take Elluminate out into the real world a little more too, as we’ll be joining the Silverburn Festival later this month as well as teaming up with the wonderful Largo Sauna again! 💛

A weekend full of music, creativity, connection and community feels like the perfect fit somehow 🌿

I’ve been obsessed recently with watching the elderflower buds appear over the last couple of weeks.... 🌿

Elderflower cordial is one of my favourite drinks, and it's been something my mum has made for us as a family for a good few years now ..... the gathering, the preparation, the making is such an enjoyable process and you end up with something tasty, and much healthier than anything available in any shop!

So this month we’re going to be running a little elderflower cordial workshop.

Nothing complicated.
Just getting outside, gathering together, making something lovely and spending a few hours in good company.

I'm hoping to do more days like this too - getting folks together, just because!

Limited numbers due to space, so let me know you are interested by commenting "ELDERFLOWER" below ✨️

Happy Fridayyyyyy ✨️

Last night I was at a Curious Minds Café with the amazing Tanya Gracie, and we had such an interesting conversation around energy and the connection between our physical and mental wellbeing.

We did a simple little exercise where we held ourselves in a really low, heavy, slumped kind of posture… and then tried to feel genuinely happy and positive from there.

It’s almost impossible.

Then we did the opposite. Moving differently. Standing differently. Smiling. Breathing deeper. Bringing energy into the body.

And again, it’s almost impossible to stay stuck in that same low feeling.

It was such a good reminder that sometimes keeping the promises we make to ourselves isn’t just about discipline or motivation.

Sometimes it’s about supporting ourselves physically too.

So today, at some point, move your body a little....

Go for the walk.
Put some music on.
Dance around the kitchen like we have in the video.
Get outside.
Take your shoes off and stand in the grass.
Stretch.
Shake your ass a little more 😄

Your body and mind are connected far more deeply than we often realise 💛

Thankful Thursday 💛

If you are anything like me, I'm always thinking forward....

The next goal.
The next project.
The next thing we want to change or improve.

But every now and then it's worth pausing to notice that some of the things we now consider ordinary were once things we hoped, wished or worked for.

For me, that's one of the reasons gratitude is such a powerful practice. It helps us slow down enough to notice what's already here.

What's something in your life that you're grateful for today? 🌿

03/06/2026

This morning I was sitting with my cup of tea and watching the birds at the feeder, enjoying a little bit of peace before the day starts, and I found myself thinking about this June challenge.

It's funny because when we decide we want to make a change, we often think the hard part is starting.

But starting is usually the easy bit.

It's easy to keep a promise to yourself when you feel motivated. It's much harder on a random Wednesday when you're tired, busy, and nobody would know if you didn't do it.

That's where I think the real challenge is.

Not in doing something once.

In doing it again.

And then again.

Long after the excitement has worn off.

I've realised recently that every time I keep one of those small promises to myself, I'm building evidence that I can trust my own word.

And every time I don't, I'm strengthening the habit of letting myself off the hook.

We'd never build a friendship that way. If someone repeatedly let us down, eventually we'd stop trusting them. Yet so many of us do exactly that to ourselves without even noticing.

That's why this challenge isn't really about getting up earlier for me.

It's about becoming someone who does what she says she's going to do.

So today, don't worry about the rest of the month.

Just focus on today.

What's one promise you can keep to yourself before your head hits the pillow tonight? 🌿🤍

Happy Choose-Day ✨

Yesterday, I shared my June challenge: to keep one small promise to myself each day.

This morning, that promise was simple. I got up 30 minutes earlier and sat with a cup of tea before the day began.

Nothing dramatic.

But it reminded me that keeping promises to ourselves isn't usually about one big decision. It's about the small choices we make throughout the day.

The choice to get out of bed when the alarm goes off.

The choice to go for the walk.

The choice to start the job we've been avoiding.

The choice to spend ten minutes on something that's important to us, even when life feels busy.

When we think about creating change, we often focus on the end goal. But lasting change is rarely built in one giant leap. It's built through the small choices we make consistently, often when nobody else is watching.

Those choices might not feel significant in the moment, but they are the building blocks of trust, confidence, and progress.

So on this Choose-Day, rather than asking yourself what needs to change, perhaps ask yourself:

✨ What is one choice I can make today that supports the person I want to become?

One small choice.

One small action.

One step in the right direction. 🌿🤍
