It is with great sadness, that the family of the late Edward Brady (Jim) would like to announce his passing and funeral arrangements.

BRADY- Edward James

Aged 74 years

Jim will be forever loved and missed by all his loving family and friends ❤️

Funeral service to be held on Wednesday 15th April at St Anthony’s RC Church, Scotland Road at 11.00am followed by a committal at Anfield Crematorium at 12 noon.

For those who cannot attend please keep Jim’s family in your thoughts.

Jim will be resting at home ahead of his final journey from Monday 13th April.

Funeral service and committal to be held on Monday 13th April at Anfield Crematorium at 12 noon, for those who wish to attend.

This week’s media coverage highlights an important chapter in the story of the Eldonian Village — and the strength of the community behind it.

The focus now is firmly on the future. The Eldonian Community Trust is working to deliver positive activities, strengthen governance, and continue serving local residents of all ages.

We are grateful to everyone who has supported the community over recent years — including those who have spoken up, worked quietly behind the scenes, and helped ensure that the village remains true to its founding purpose.

This is a new chapter, built on transparency, stability, and community spirit. We look forward to continuing our work for the people of the Eldonian Village.

Our Secretary, Rhys Jones said in response to today’s article:

“This story was never about me. It began because people in the Eldonian Village — many of whom I have known all my life — were worried about their community and wanted answers. I simply tried to help find those answers. People like Maureen Price showed enormous courage in speaking up, and there were many others who supported the effort quietly behind the scenes and have remained in the shadows. Their determination to protect the community they built is what really made the difference. What matters now is that the Eldonian Community Trust can move forward and focus again on supporting the residents it was created to serve.”
