We're so proud to have launched our first dedicated face-to-face support group for LGBTQIA+ parents and carers, in London at the start of the month.
The perinatal period can be isolating at the best of times. For LGBTQIA+ parents and carers, that isolation is often compounded by stigma, exclusion from maternity services, and a lack of healthcare providers who truly understand their journey. The largest review of LGBTQIA+ perinatal mental health research (2022) confirms these barriers are persistent, not occasional, which is exactly why spaces like this matter.
Supported by funding from The Julia Rausing Trust, this group forms part of PANDAS' wider expansion of peer support across 2026.
Based in Hackney and meeting twice monthly, the group offers a friendly, affirming, non-judgemental space to connect with others who understand. The group is facilitated by PANDAS-trained Group Facilitators Charlotte (she/they) and Joey (they/them), both experienced q***r doulas with deep roots in the local community.
If you're an LGBTQIA+ parent or carer looking for community, connection and support that gets it, you're welcome here.
The group meets fortnightly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12-2pm. You can follow the group at or visit
