Half term can bring a lot of pressure for parents.

Pressure to make memories.
Pressure to keep the kids entertained.
Pressure to say yes to every trip, activity, and day out.

But children don’t need perfection. They don’t need a packed schedule or expensive plans every day.

Sometimes the moments they remember most are the simple ones — movie days, snacks on the sofa, a walk to the park, laughing at home together.

It’s okay if you’re tired.
It’s okay if you can’t do it all.
And it’s okay if this half term looks different to someone else’s.

Be kind to yourself as well as your children 💛

🔥With the heatwave approaching tomorrow we would like to remind people that some medications including certain antidepressants and diabetic medication can increase your risk of side effects, illness or make you more susceptible to over heating or catching the sun.

💦Stay hydrated, keep cool and please check how your medication may affect you in the heat.
If you feel unwell or unsure, speak to your pharmacist, GP or contact NHS 111.

Look after yourself and others and enjoy the sunshine safely ☀️

Accessibility matters every day. 🌍💙

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a reminder that inclusion is not an extra — it’s essential. Everyone deserves equal access to information, services, spaces, and support, including mental health care.

At NHS Talking Therapies, we recognise that accessibility looks different for everyone, and small changes can make a big difference.

Today is about listening, learning, improving, and helping create a world where nobody is excluded.
