💙 World Hearing Day 💙
Today we’re shining a light on someone who sees how life-changing hearing care can be, first-hand.
Last week, we sat down with ENT surgeon, Dr Rithvik Reddy, who specialises in cochlear implants and complex ear surgery, and asked him what it means to be part of someone’s hearing journey.
His answer says it all:
“From a child hearing their parent’s voice for the first time to an adult reconnecting with their world, restoring hearing changes lives and it is the most rewarding job.”
For Dr Reddy, it is both a privilege and a responsibility to help patients regain access to the world around them.
This year’s theme, “From communities to schools: hearing care for all children,” is a reminder of how vital early hearing care is, and how one procedure can change the course of a child’s learning, confidence and future.
