IEC Medical are looking for an ad-hoc Site Medic to support our site medical function across the Cheshire area.

This is a flexible cover position, where the successful candidate will provide support when shifts require covering across our operational sites. The role will mainly consist of night shifts, although occasional day shifts may also be available depending on operational requirements.

This position would suit somebody who is flexible, reliable, confident working independently, and enjoys working within a busy site environment. A minimum FREC4 qualification is required for this role.

Please note: full onboarding, compliance checks and relevant clearances will need to be completed prior to commencing work.

THAT’S A WRAP!! 👏

Another great two days delivering our Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace course, and we’re pleased to say that 5 new Mental Health First Aiders are now fully trained.

Over the last two days there have been open conversations, practical learning, shared experiences, and plenty of discussion around how to recognise when someone may be struggling, how to start supportive conversations, and how to signpost people to the right help.

There was plenty of learning, plenty of conversation… and, as with all good training courses, a healthy amount of tea and biscuits keeping everyone going ☕️🍪 Safe to say the biscuit tin took a bit of a hit.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part. Great engagement throughout, lots of thoughtful discussion, and a really positive group to work with. No one fell asleep after lunch, nobody tried to hide when role play came out, and everyone got stuck in, which we always count as a win 😅

Over the two days we covered practical ways to spot the signs that someone may be struggling, how to start supportive conversations, and how to help people access the right support. Real skills, real conversations, and no death by PowerPoint.

🚑 It’s been a busy start to the week at IEC Medical… and the kettle has barely had chance to cool down ☕️

Last Friday, three members of the IEC Medical team were at a local primary school delivering anaphylaxis awareness and adrenaline auto-injector (AAI) training ahead of Benedict’s Law coming into force this September.

No real emergencies thankfully, just a lot of practice ones… although a few staff got a bit too good at the dramatic “collapse” acting 😅

On a serious note, this is exactly what it’s all about, giving staff the confidence to recognise anaphylaxis and act quickly when it really matters. Because in those moments, confidence beats panic every time.

Brilliant engagement from the whole team, loads of questions, hands-on practice, and everyone getting stuck in 👏

⚠️ September will come around quicker than a last-minute lesson plan… so now’s the time to get sorted.
