There was a time when every summer holiday revolved around these two. 💛

Packed lunches, sandy towels, endless snacks, tired little legs... and somewhere along the way, I forgot that I mattered too.

Now they're teenagers, and looking back reminds me just how easy it is for mums to put themselves at the bottom of the list.

If you're soon going to be waving your children off at school, this is your reminder that you deserve an hour for yourself too.

Come and find a little calm, stretch away the tension, breathe deeply, and leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.

✨ Morning yoga classes for every body. I'd love to welcome you onto the mat.

Things Nobody Tells You About Yoga Teacher Training

Some days, the sunshine calls you outside. ☀️💙

Today, I rolled out my mat in the garden, looked up at the blue sky, and simply moved. No pressure to achieve anything. Just breathing, stretching, and reconnecting with my body.

Yoga doesn’t have to look a certain way or happen in a perfect studio. It can be a few mindful moments in your garden, your living room, or wherever you are today.

If you’ve been meaning to move your body but haven’t known where to start, this is your reminder that you don’t have to be flexible, fit, or experienced. You just have to begin.

I’d love to help you find a practice that feels good for your body, at your pace.

What’s one small thing you’re doing for yourself today? 💛

🌳 Vrksasana (Tree Pose) – Finding Your Ground

Tree Pose, or Vrksasana, is one of yoga's most recognisable postures. It may look simple, but it teaches us so much about balance, patience and staying grounded.

On a physical level, grounding is all about creating a strong, stable foundation. As you press your standing foot firmly into the earth, you engage the muscles in your feet, legs and core to support your body.

Rather than trying to be perfectly still, Tree Pose reminds us that balance is a continual process of making small adjustments. It's okay to wobble – we all do!

On an energetic level, grounding is about feeling connected, calm and present. When life feels busy or overwhelming, grounding practices can help us slow our thoughts, steady our breath and reconnect with ourselves. Like a tree with deep roots, we can weather life's changing seasons when we feel supported from within.

Whether you're navigating a busy family life, caring for others, or simply juggling the demands of everyday life, taking a few moments to stand tall, breathe deeply and feel your feet connected to the ground can make a real difference.

Next time you practise Tree Pose, don't worry about how high your foot is or how long you can balance. Instead, notice the feeling of your foot rooted into the earth beneath you. Let that sense of stability rise through your whole body.

🌿 Sometimes, the strongest thing we can do is simply stand still, breathe, and remember where our roots are.

Have you practised Tree Pose before? How does it make you feel? I'd love to hear your experience in the comments. 💚🙂

☀️Summer often brings so much joy... but it can also bring a very full diary.

Whether you're travelling, enjoying concerts and family days out, looking after children or grandchildren during the school holidays, tending to the garden, or making the most of the lighter evenings, it's easy to spend all your time caring for everyone else.😎

But amidst all the busyness, are you making time for yourself?

🧘‍♀️Taking care of your own wellbeing doesn't have to mean setting aside hours of your day. Sometimes it's simply taking a few deep breaths, enjoying a quiet cup of tea, stretching your body, or giving yourself permission to pause for a little while.🧘‍♂️

When we look after ourselves, we're often better able to care for the people we love too.

This summer, I invite you to carve out just a little time that's yours. Your body and mind deserve it.

✨ What helps you recharge during the busy summer weeks? I'd love to hear what fills your cup.
