If you haven't tried it yet, you really should, it's great fun, inexpensive, and suitable for people of all abilities. Well done to Ed and Tom for winning the competition and bagging a disc each!

Last night we made some stock for the Llangollen Summer Fete these little driftwood signs will be up for grabs on Saturday 6th June.

One of our members likes to make them in his spare time and shared the idea with us. That's a core principle of what we do at Men:Minded, share skills and ideas with one another, that way we can all learn new skills, hobbies, ideas together.

I haven't posted in ages! I have been super busy, and social media has had to take a back seat for a while.

We are still here though and still meet every Wednesday 18:30 - 20:30.

One of the most surreal and relaxing experiences of my life!

A couple of weeks ago I went over to Shropshire floats and tried their couples flotation experience with my wife. I wasn't sure what to expect but the experience left me feeling completely relaxed and it really helped me release some tension in my neck and shoulders.

At first it felt bizarre to be floating in liquid salt, completely weightless. But I soon relaxed, and quickly fell asleep! Yes, you can sleep while floating as its so much more buoyant than water. I can only imagine that this is how it would feel in space.

Doing things like this is really important for your mental health, acts of self love, self compassion are really beneficial, not just for mental health,but also your physical wellbeing too.

You should definitely check them out if you can. Shropshire Floats also offer infra red light therapy, dry float, hyperbaric oxygen, fire and ice, and a Seychelles room!

Hello! I'm Joe. I'm the founder of Men:Minded.

My journey towards setting up Men:Minded started 5 years ago. My mental health fell to pieces. I was not in a good place at all. Over the next 3 years it steadily got worse. I was trapped in a world of depression, self loathing, addiction, anxiety, undiagnosed mental health conditions, and fear.

I felt lost and alone. Then 2 years ago things happened that changed my life for ever, and for the better. Over the past 2 years I have rebuilt my life brick by brick, and today it's better than ever.

I will tell my story over the next few months, but I wanted to give a message to all of you Men and Women who are struggling with poor mental health, with addiction, with poor self esteem. DONT GIVE UP. DONT STOP TRYING!

There is a wonderful world out there, and even though it might not seem like that now. You can change things, it can, and will get better if you try.

We encourage our members to volunteer with other groups. It's really important to help each other out!

Several of our members volunteer with the . They meet every 3rd Saturday of the month in the Memorial Hall on Market Street 10-12.

Next is 21st February. If you have something that is broken, bring it along and see if one of the fantastic fixers can mend it for you!

Bikes, electrical, fabrics, sharpening, tech, household items, bring them along and have a brew while you wait. 🙌
