Fife Sailability

Fife Sailability Fife Sailability is a Club specifically for those with a disability, it is based at Lochore Meadows Watersports Centre in central Fife.

We operate as part of the Royal Yachting Association's Sailability initiative, facilitating the exhilaration and freedom that sailing can bring to all. We can mix & match gentle cruising, hands on sailing or formal training to suit individual needs and welcome groups or single participants. Parents and/or carers are welcome to share the experience. We supply essential safety equipment but v

isitors need to wear clothing suitable for a cool and rainy day. We have a dedicated changing/shower/toilet facility for our disabled participants. We are qualified to transfer sailors with our certified hoists and set high standards in safety and protection of vulnerable persons.

Whilst its August, it does always feel cooler out on the water and we want you to have an enjoyable comfortable experience with fife sailability.

Thank you to everyone for your efforts today. Unfortunately the sailing was cancelled again due to the very gusty wind. We did however, run the Wheelyboat, managing to get 18 members and 14 carers on the water. We also had 13 volunteers who helped both on & off the water. Hopefully we will have a better wind next time - cheers - Ann
