A throwback to my time delivering with Go Think Big — supporting young people to build confidence, share their stories and see new possibilities for their futures.

Feedback like this still means a huge amount:

“Nat is one of the most inspiring, knowledgeable and passionate facilitators I have ever met.”

“He always leaves attendees feeling empowered and with tangible skills they can take away.”

“His drive to make things inclusive and accessible for all is extremely rare.”

That has always been the heart of my work: making inclusion practical, energising and useful — not just something people talk about, but something they can feel and act on.

Whether it’s young people, educators, employers or whole organisations, the goal is the same: create spaces where different minds are understood, supported and able to thrive.

Not a bad way to mark almost one whole year of running Divergent Thinking UK full time.

This time last year, I was still figuring out what this would actually look like: building something useful, sustainable, and rooted in work I really care about.

Since then, it’s taken me into organisations, universities, charities, councils, global teams, and now, somehow, to 10 Downing Street.

Still feels surreal.

I started Divergent Thinking because I wanted neurodiversity work to feel more practical and more human. Less tick-box awareness, more honest conversations about communication, confidence and inclusion that actually works day to day.

There’s still a lot I’m learning, and a lot I want to build. But this felt like one of those rare moments where I stopped and thought:

Okay. Maybe this is becoming something.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, booked, shared, introduced, trusted, or encouraged me along the way.

A lovely reflection from Dr Camila Devis-Rozental at Bournemouth University.

“Nat is a super passionate advocate and expert in neurodiversity.”

“His commitment and in-depth knowledge, coupled with an innovative approach to everything he does, is truly inspiring.”

Bournemouth University has been a big part of my journey — both personally and professionally — so this feedback means a lot.

This work has always been about making neurodiversity practical, human and useful: helping people understand different ways of thinking, learning and communicating, and turning that understanding into better environments.

Because neuroinclusion is not just about awareness. It is about changing how people feel, learn, work and belong.

Making STEM more accessible starts with recognising that different minds engage, learn and participate in different ways.

A lovely reflection from Hannah Ford Tomlinson at Lightyear Foundation:

“[Nat's] training experience and expertise shines through in his work, and he has provided invaluable support to the Lightyear Foundation in our mission to make STEM more accessible and inclusive for disabled and neurodivergent young people.”

This work matters because inclusion is not just about opening the door. It is about designing the room, the activity, the communication and the support so people can actually take part.

Neuroinclusion in STEM means clearer instructions, flexible participation, sensory-aware environments and a strengths-based approach to learning.

Proud to have supported Lightyear Foundation’s mission to make STEM more inclusive, practical and accessible.

We’re proud to share that Divergent Thinking has won the Making a Difference Award (Independent) at the National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards 2026 💜

This recognition means a great deal to us as a neurodivergent-led organisation. Divergent Thinking was built to help create more inclusive environments for neurodivergent people — not just through awareness, but through practical change.

Thank you to every client, collaborator, supporter and community member who has been part of this journey so far. Your support has helped us grow this mission and reach more organisations with training, strategy and lived-experience-led insight.

We’re incredibly grateful for this recognition — and even more motivated for what comes next.

Our work is all about helping organisations better understand neurodiversity and create workplaces where different minds can thrive.

What happens when neuroscience meets real-world impact?

A lovely set of reflections from sessions with Watson Institute, exploring neurodiversity, inclusion, innovation and the power of different ways of thinking.

Feedback included:

“His ability to connect neuroscience with real-world impact was eye-opening and practical.”

“He’s a brilliant educator and advocate — passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely inspiring.”

“Their approach showed how embracing different ways of thinking can unlock creativity, innovation, and stronger teams.”

“It was a powerful reminder that inclusion isn’t just good ethics — it’s smart business.”

This is always the goal: make neuroinclusion clear, practical and relevant to the work people are already doing.

Because when teams understand different minds better, they don’t just become more inclusive — they become more creative, adaptive and effective.
