New UK regulations are tightening up how treatments like anti-wrinkle injections are marketed — and it’s something everyone in the industry (and clients!) need to be aware of.

Because treatments like Botox are classed as prescription-only medicines, they’ve never been legally allowed to be advertised directly to the public — especially on social media. ()

But enforcement is getting stricter than ever 👇

❌ You can’t promote or even indirectly reference anti-wrinkle injections❌ You can’t use phrases like “Botox” or “anti-wrinkle injections” in ads❌ You can’t post before & after photos to sell results❌ You can’t use client testimonials, influencers, or “results-based” claims

Even things like hashtags, syringe imagery, or “wrinkle-reduction” wording can breach the rules.

Why?👉 These treatments are medical procedures — and the law is designed to protect the public from misleading claims and unsafe practices.
