These lesions are also skin-colored but are rough to the touch.They can grow anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the hands, the feet and the face. Although warts are infectious, some people are more susceptible than others.
To an untrained eye, skin tags and warts may look the same, but differentiating the two is quite easy. Warts are small, firm skin growths that develop on the surface of the skin. They commonly appear on the hands, knees, or soles of the feet.

Common warts are small, rough, and grainy-looking skin growths that frequently occur on the fingers or hands. They may be flesh-colored, white, or light brown. Their surface often feels rough and may contain tiny black dots, which are caused by clotted blood vessels.

Warts usually grow within the outer layer of the skin (the epidermis). Although uncommon, they can sometimes cause discomfort or pain. In some cases, warts may change in appearance or color. People with weakened immune systems may experience recurring or spreading warts.

Skin tags are small, soft, flesh-like growths that typically develop in areas where skin rubs against skin, such as the underarms, groin, or neck.

The medical term for a skin tag is acrochordon. Skin tags are usually the same color as the surrounding skin, although they may sometimes appear darker. Some skin tags are pink and can become red if irritated. They often hang from the skin by a small stalk or may sit directly on the skin’s surface.

Skin tags are benign (non-cancerous) skin growths made up of blood vessels and collagen, a structural protein naturally found in the skin.

Skin tags are sometimes mistaken for skin cancer. However, unlike cancerous skin lesions, skin tags typically remain small and stable over time, whereas malignant skin growths often continue to enlarge and may bleed.
