My aim is to empower parents to be and their birth partners to achieve a positive birth which is right for you and your baby on the day. The last three years have been a very exciting journey for my husband and I. We have welcomed two children into the world, Thomas (2 ½) and Florence (1). as the lady who feared birth probably from hearing too many negative stories! After doing a Hypnobirthing course I honestly was so excited to birth my baby! For me the understanding of how the body works during labour together with self hypnosis and relaxation techniques really made a difference. I look back on my births with such positivity. It really is amazing what your mind and body can do. I have had a wonderful career in paediatric nursing working in a variety of settings and challenging senior roles. I have worked in Cardiac Intensive Care for the last 13 years at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Having recently relocated to beautiful North Yorkshire to be closer to family, I am excited to introduce my new venture of teaching parents to be, Hypnobirthing, which I am very passionate about. I teach the Wise Hippo Birthing Programme, Hypnobirthing and all round preparation for the birth of your baby. I offer group and private courses as well as refreshers suited to you.
