"My child says they don't need the toilet - but they do! What's happening?"
Some children (especially those with an overactive bladder) don't get any signals to use the toilet - or, if they do get signals, it's very close to needing the toilet, which means they have an accident.
Some children also allow the contraction feeling to pass and then don't feel the need to go to the toilet. This can be frustrating for parents, as they can see their child needs to go. If you notice your child wriggling about, always encourage them to empty their bladder
