If you live from a place of worry, of fear that something bad is going to happen,
if your primary focus is always on what could go wrong,
if you spend most of your time trying to account for every possible thing that could hurt so that you can be prepared for it —

You likely have an unresolved wound living in your body.
Some moment that broke your trust with yourself (which often happens through our relationships with other significant people).
An experience or (or many) that taught you that you aren’t safe.
That other people can’t be trusted,
or that you can’t be trusted to handle the discomfort if it arises in the moment.

It may have happened at a moment in time where you felt overwhelmed, but were unable to safely process your response to this thing that happened.
Where you didn’t receive support.
Where you didn’t feel seen, safe, attuned to, or valued for who you are.
Where you learned that it wasn’t safe to be present to your own emotional experience.

And there is no shame in this.
This happens/has happened to so many of us.
But that fear, that modern day vigilance & anxiety is there to protect the wound.
It’s so afraid that that thing is going to happen again.

But when you feel safe enough to allow yourself to process,
to safely be present to the pain of that experience,
you help that scared, lonely, and abandoned part begin to heal.
To mature emotionally.
To come into the present moment.

Because you are trustworthy.
You are capable, resourceful, and whole.
You just have to practice coming back to yourself again and again.

If this is one of the patterns you’re working to shift, it takes time!
And the Cycle Breakers program begins September 2nd.
This is a year long program for those committed and dedicated to changing old patterns. Committed to bringing their patterns to light and slowly and intentionally meeting themselves with more safety, generosity, compassion, and accountability as they begin to break old cycles and patterns of relating to themselves, others and the world. And it’s done in small, supportive, heart-centered community.
Register before July 11 and receive a free 1:1 with me before the program begins - only a couple are left!

Client Testimonial:
(Female, age 53, Condition: PTSD/Trauma)

My workplace were able to provide me with 12 hours of support with a therapist to help me with my anxiety and depression. 12 hours in which to tackle some heavy issues! Thank goodness the therapist was Susan. She has literally changed my life.

I started the process with little hope that anyone could help, or that progress would be made. My issues were complex, I was at an all time low with many twists and turns in my journey that needed ironing out. Through Susan's patient and measured approach I moved gradually from a dark place – with no sense of hope at all, towards a more stable and positive point. A journey that I am amazed at, the progress is beyond all my expectations.

Susan took time to get to know me, to understand the way I process things and got to grips with my complicated back story. She taught me strategies to help understand what was going on, and most importantly helped me to accept things. Her analogies will remain with me and help me to quickly access her top tips and remain calm in challenging situations. Without her help I would still be floundering, in a bad place with little belief that things can change, that control can be found in the most out of control scenarios.

We laughed, I cried, and no matter what Susan remained calm, professional and supportive.

I recommend Susan wholeheartedly to anyone who seeks a kind and patient therapist who knows her stuff! My journey’s not quite finished … but I’ll continue working with Susan and I’m confident that I’ll get there.

A life changing 12 hours - no exaggeration! I can’t thank her enough.
