🚑 Behind the Scenes: Keeping the Heavyweights Safe đŸ„Š

This weekend, Central Ambulance Service is proud to be ringside at The O2 Arena for the massive "100" showdown between Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora.

While the world watches two of boxing's biggest legends go to war, our dedicated emergency paramedic crews and specialist vehicles will be on-site, supporting the British Boxing Board of Control doctors.

High-profile events require high-level care. We’re honored to provide the medical infrastructure that ensures the safety of the athletes, staff, and fans throughout the night.

Wish our team luck for a safe and successful event!

đŸ„Š Two Promotions, One Choice

It was a heavy-hitting weekend for the Central Ambulance Service team!

From the elite cages of Europe’s leading MMA promotion to the raw intensity of Conor McGregor’s BKFC, our crews were ringside ensuring the only thing the fighters had to worry about was their footwork.

When the gloves come off (literally, in BKFC’s case), the stakes go up. That’s why the biggest names in combat sports keep us on speed dial.

Why does "The Notorious" one choose us? 🇼đŸ‡Ș

While we can’t give away all our trade secrets, we think it boils down to three things:

* Precision Under Pressure: In the cage, a split second matters. In a medical emergency, it’s everything. Our teams react faster than a counter-left hook.

* Elite Standards: You don’t get to the top by cutting corners. McGregor expects world-class performance, and our EMTs, paramedics and doctors deliver "Championship Level" care every time the bell rings.

* The "Proper" Professionalism: We handle the chaos so the promoters can focus on the show. Whether it's a technical submission or a bare-knuckle brawl, we’ve seen it all and handled it all.

It’s an honor to provide the safety net for these incredible athletes. Another weekend, another successful knockout (medical-wise, at least!).

DM us if you want to cover your event. No event is too small. If you want to join our team whether your FREC 3 or 4, EMT, paramedic or doctor contact us.

We’re proud to share that we’ve just applied for the Silver Award as part of the Employer Recognition Scheme under the Armed Forces Covenant 🇬🇧

We’ve been working closely with our Defence Relationship Manager at RFCA for the North West of England & the Isle of Man Man) to strengthen how we support employees who are Reservists, Veterans, and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs).

Service Leavers bring exceptional skills, experience, and values into civilian life, and we’re fully committed to supporting their transition into Civvie Street.

How we support our Armed Forces community:

đŸȘ–5 days’ additional paid leave for Reservists and CFAVs to attend training

✈A full mobilisation policy with employment security, even in challenging times

🇬🇧 An Armed Forces Network, with representation on our Policy Collaboration Group to advocate for colleagues

👍Active recruitment of Service Leavers and Veterans, recognising the value they bring—whether through patient-facing care, professionalism, or attention to detail

đŸ“±Direct access to our management team when concerns arise, so support can be put in place early

If you’re a Reservist, Service Leaver, Veteran, or CFAV, we’d love to hear from you about employment opportunities.
And if you’re self-employed or work for a veteran-owned business and see potential for collaboration—let’s talk đŸ€

Supporting the Armed Forces community isn’t just a commitment—it’s part of who we are.

Forever in our hearts.
Today is the seventh anniversary of the Manchester Arena terror attack - a terrible event that we as a service will never forget.
We remember the 22 people who sadly lost their lives. Our thoughts are with their family and friends, the hundreds who were injured, the emergency services teams who attended, and anybody affected in any way by the attack.
