The sun comes out, and the shoes change overnight, but are you wearing the right ones? π£
Sandals, pumps, flip flops. After months of boots and thick socks, it feels liberating. But this time of year, I start seeing a familiar pattern in the clinic.
Lighter shoes often mean less support, less structure, and a lot more opportunity for things to start rubbing or causing discomfort.
So before you reach for the summer footwear, here are a few things worth thinking about:
β‘οΈ Your shoes should fit the shape of your foot, not the other way around
β‘οΈ Leave enough room for your toes to move freely
β‘οΈ The back of the shoe should feel firm and support your heel
β‘οΈ Soft materials with no rough seams will always be kinder to your skin.
It sounds simple, but the right fit makes a real difference to how your feet feel over the warmer months. π
If your feet are already giving you trouble as the seasons change, I'm here. A quick appointment can sort more than you might think π
