🚨 Could it be Type 1 Diabetes? Know the 4 Ts 🚨

Type 1 diabetes can affect anyone, at any age, and the symptoms are often mistaken for common illnesses. Early recognition is vital and can prevent serious medical emergencies.

Remember the 4 Ts:

🚽 Toilet – Going to the toilet more often than usual, bed-wetting in a previously dry child, or heavier nappies in babies.

💧 Thirsty – Constant thirst that doesn't go away, no matter how much you drink.

😴 Tired – Feeling unusually tired, lacking energy, or struggling with everyday activities.

⚖️ Thinner – Unexplained weight loss or appearing thinner than usual.

If you, your child, or someone you care for has these symptoms, don't ignore them. Contact your GP practice promptly for advice.

The earlier Type 1 diabetes is diagnosed, the sooner treatment can begin.

👋 Just a quick update about the importance of cancelling your appointments when you can't make it. 😷
WE HAD 226 UNATTENDED APPOINTMENTS IN March 2026!
We all know how hectic life can get, and sometimes health issues can catch us off guard. When you find yourself unable to make your scheduled appointment, please remember to cancel in advance.
Not only does this free up valuable time for the healthcare professionals who can help others, but it also shows respect for their efforts and allows them to offer your appointment slot to someone else in need.
Let's be considerate and responsible when it comes to our health. Cancelling an appointment you can't attend can make a real difference in someone's life. 🩺💙
Thank you for your understanding.
Please note we may discuss this with you formally if this is a ongoing issue!
