Last Friday, our residents enjoyed some fantastic live music at Askham 🎶💛

There was plenty of singing along, a little dancing, lots of cheering and, most importantly, plenty of smiles throughout the performance.

It was lovely to see everyone joining in, enjoying the music and sharing the experience together.

A big thank you to our entertainer for helping create such a fun and uplifting occasion 👏

It's been wonderful to see this project continue to take shape at Askham 🎨

What started with our now much-loved bus stop has grown into something even bigger, with new hand-painted scenes helping to create welcoming spaces that our residents can enjoy, explore and interact with 💛

A huge thank you to the team at Once Upon a Wall for bringing these ideas to life and to our own team who rolled up their sleeves and helped along the way. It was fantastic to see everyone working together and taking such pride in the project.

We can't wait to see the final touches added and watch these spaces come to life even further 👏

There’s not long to go until our Father’s Day Brunch 💙

We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and their relatives for a morning spent together over good food and great company.

Father’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the fathers, grandfathers and father figures who mean so much to our residents and families and we can't wait to share the occasion together!

Being recognised across five categories at the Housing with Care Awards 2026 was a proud moment for everyone at Askham 💛

The nominations reflected the dedication, expertise and teamwork found across care, rehabilitation, catering, leadership and resident engagement, with colleagues from across the organisation represented on the national stage.

The evening also saw Kelly Hayes receive the Care Home Activity Organiser Award, recognising her outstanding contribution to resident wellbeing and engagement.

A celebration of cultures, community and coming together 🌍

Our recent Culture Day brought residents, families, colleagues, friends and members of the wider community together for a fantastic day of food, music, dancing and shared experiences.

From cultural dishes and traditional dress to henna, performances and plenty of conversation, the event showcased the diversity that helps make Askham such a welcoming and vibrant community.
