Volunteer Hairdressers & Barbers wanted!! ✂✂✂

Dove Cottage Day Hospice are looking for kind, skilled hairdressers and barbers who would be willing to volunteer a little of their time.
For many of our guests, coming to the hospice is the only time they leave their home. A haircut or blow dry may feel like a small thing — but at this stage of life, it can mean so much

It’s a chance to:
- feel like themselves again
- experience a familiar routine
- enjoy a moment of normal life that isn’t focused on illness

Who we’re looking for:
• Qualified hairdressers or barbers
• Retired or currently practising professionals
• Kind, patient and compassionate individuals

What we offer:
-A calm, welcoming hospice environment
-Brand new, purpose-built salon space
-Flexible volunteering — even occasional visits help
-The opportunity to make a deeply meaningful difference

If this speaks to you — or if you know someone who might be interested — please reach out to us via DM, email [email protected] or call 01949 860303.

Thank you for helping us support local families living with life-limiting conditions.

One of our wonderful Craft Volunteers, Tony, ran a painting session at the hospice last week and here are the stunning results!

Art Therapy is so important in a hospice setting and is beneficial in so many ways. Focusing on the here and now and immersing yourself entirely in what you are doing can be calming, enjoyable, and can help to reduce stress and provide moments of relaxation and a sense of achievement. 💛 Thank you Tony for your fabulous support.
