As Father’s Day approaches on Sunday 21st June 2026, we understand that this day can bring a mixture of emotions. For many, it is a time to celebrate cherished memories and reflect on the love, guidance, and special moments shared with fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who are no longer with us.

We would like to gently remind you about Sedgemoor Crematorium’s Letters to Loved Ones Post Box. A quiet space where you can share your thoughts, memories, messages, or feelings from the heart.

Tyler Davey of North Petherton, Bridgwater, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday 23rd May 2026 aged 23 years. A much-loved Son, Brother, Grandson, Family Member and Friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private funeral service will take place in memory of Tyler at Taunton Deane Crematorium. For service details, please only contact the Funeral Directors. Brian Alfred Wallace of Minehead, passed away peacefully on Thursday 14th May 2026 at The Winsor Nursing Home in Minehead aged 89 years. Brian is now reunited with his late wife Shirley Winifred Wallace following her passing in 2022. He will be deeply missed by all his loving family and friends.

Patrick Preston “Pat” of Minehead, peacefully passed away on Sunday 3rd May 2026 at home surrounded by his family aged 88 years. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, never to be forgotten and forever in our hearts.

A service to celebrate Pat’s life will take place at St. Andrew’s Church, Wellington Square, Minehead, TA24 5NH on Saturday 20th June 2026 at 2pm. Donations in memory of Pat will benefit both Asthma & Lung UK and the West Somerset Railway and can be given at the Church or online at www.funeralguide.co.uk/144605. Richard Anthony Clarkson (Hunt) of Watchet, formally of Minehead, passed away suddenly on Tuesday 5th May 2026 at his home in Watchet aged 55. Richard was well known working as a Barber in both The Harbour Barbers in Watchet and The Williton Barbers. He will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and friends.

A memorial service will take place in memory of Richard on Friday 19th June 2026 at 1pm at Watchet Methodist Church, following a private cremation at Taunton Deane Crematorium. Donations in memory of Richard are being sent to CALM, Campaign Against Living Miserably and can be given on the day or via the Funeral Directors or online at www.funeralguide.co.uk/144563. Everyone is invited to dress how you wish and comfortable, to honour Richard’s love of comedy, laughter and bright colours.

Ingrid White of Bridgwater, passed away peacefully on Thursday 14th May 2026 at Musgrove Park Hospital aged 78 years. A much-loved Mum and Nan, Ingrid had a lifelong love of dogs, and her beloved Sophie, Blue and Jake brought her much comfort and companionship. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and all who knew her.

A private family service will take place in memory of Ingrid at her home address in Bridgwater, following her cremation at Sedgemoor Crematorium. Maureen S***t of Langport, formally of Taunton, passed away Peacefully on Monday 4th May 2026 at Portcullis House Care Home, Langport aged 80 years. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A funeral service will take place in memory of Maureen on Friday 12th June 2026, 3pm at The Church Of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Huish Episcopi followed by burial in the Churchyard. Today we have lost a true friend and professional colleague Emma Britton 🤍

Over the years, we have shared laughter and tears. Today is a day for tears. We are thinking of John, Jackie and Billy, along with all of Emma’s family and friends.

Like everyone affected by this sad news, we know Emma would want us all to pull together and continue what she started, helping to make the world a kinder place. Emma was one of the strongest ladies we knew. Our hearts go out to so many people and groups whose lives she touched.

If you would like to share your memories with us, we will make sure that John and the family see them.

Emma’s legacy will live on. 🤍

Stephen Brinkman of Alcombe Minehead, peacefully passed away on Wednesday 13th May 2026 at Musgrove Park Hospital aged 69 years. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, never to be forgotten and forever in our hearts.

A private burial will take place in memory of Stephen at Old Cleeve Woodland Burial Ground. However a there will be a Celebration Party of Stephen’s Life, on Sunday 7th June 2026 between 2pm and 6pm at his House, 8 The Close, Church Street, Alcombe, Minehead. Everyone who knew Stephen is very welcome to come along. The family have asked for you to dress however you feel comfortable as this isn’t a funeral.
