This post is with a deep breath; I’m going through a lot of change at the moment and I’ve noticed something important recently.
The people who really step in to help, they don’t just listen - they make you feel safe, they’re full of support, warmth, and understanding.
It’s amazing how life gently rearranges the room when your soul is ready for change.
Sometimes we all need someone to take our hand and guide us through and I’m forever grateful for the people who walk in at exactly the right moment and the ones that continue to stay on the journey.
Some changes have been unfolding over the last few months but it’s hard to see the wood for the trees when life seems to be asking so much.
I’ve recently started a social media training programme, and I find myself completely out of my comfort zone like you can never imagine!
I wasn’t sure what to expect but this course doesn’t just scratch the surface, it asks me to gently confront and question in many areas. I use social media like most people, but it makes me feel vulnerable for so many reasons, reflecting about why I started Hopton Candles is proving to be both powerful and heart wrenching.
The course is based around human connection, and it’s time to embrace that, the truth is Hopton all started during one of the darkest moments of my life. Some may think I stumbled on the idea or simply fancied a career change.
Things are often put in front of us exactly at the right time, a number of years ago a dear friend bought me three little handmade candles at a time when I didn’t feel there was any fight left in me.
A flicker of light in the darkness, beautiful scents to soothe my tired soul, a moment of pause to just sit with my thoughts.
She couldn’t have known what it truly meant to me and I couldn’t have known where that kind gesture would take me.
They gave me comfort, hope and direction when I needed it most. Like a hand on the shoulder, steadying the way. It’s hard to put into words what these little candles meant.
As the journey continues, I want to show you what’s behind Hopton Candles, not out of ego or for sympathy but to let you know what we pour into each candle, each diffuser and every product that we make.
It’s so much more than premium wax, and fine fragrances, our story is the hidden ingredient and it’s time to bring it into the light.
