🎧 ADHD task paralysis is REAL! 🎧 So, I thought I would share one of my favourite tips - music in 8D (8 dimentional). You might also like to try bilateral for sustained work focus?

Let me know how it goes?

🫣 ADHD relationships with food 🤔 often swing in one of two directions due to interoceptive & stimulation seeking differences. It makes it easier for us to miss or misread hunger cues.

Which one are you?? Or do you sometime swing from one to the other?!

It's pretty onbvious I am the latter 😅, always thinking about food BUT especially when I work from home! This can be for a range of reasoms which all revolve around dopamine seeking - boredom, feelings, procrastination, task initiation...in all these food forms a prompt. When we are dysregulated we might also eat our feelings?

🍏🍂 Autistic joy is very special, but from childhood I kept it under wraps, to avoid appearing like I was misreading a situation or making a big thing when others saw nothing.

Autumn is my favourite season, and my daughters middle name, so I will be finding vast amounts of joy picking blackberries & apples for the foreseeable.

I now know Autistic joy brings so much pleasure for others. My husband smiles the most at seeing my face light up over the smallest things. This is your prompt to share your joy or share in anothers ❤️.

🏋‍♀️ ADHD & Exercise🏋 whoose with me?? 🙌 🙌.

Can we agree to move this weekend in a way that is not forced, is not because we know it boosts dopamine & is not monitored by steps.

Let's just allow ourselves to move because it is in a natures to do so, in wahs that feel intuitive, not forced. In ways that challenge if it speaks to you or softly if that feels right this weekend.

Exercise is NOT something on a to do list. If this happens it will become another pressure for a depleted neurodivergent nervois system to need to find capacity for.

🫝Baked Oats🫝comment OATS.

Great for back to school breakfasts & lunch boxes. I have revised a recipe as my daughter & I have explored 5 different ways to up the fibre, protein, natural fats, as well as make the taste as comfortable as possible for young ADHD minds.

I hope you love the recipe, enjoy our tweaks & ideas - maybe you will share your own versions?

💪 ADHD minds don't lack dopamine, they have challenges regulating it 💪. It requires movement. That simple. In adults lifting weights for just 10 minutes does the job, and no itnis not about how heavy, just get started 😄.

In children firmer squishy fidgets and 'heavy work' like digging or pushing is a dopamine balancer & brain regulator.

I am an AuDHD coach who wants to see how much we can do, let's use simple tools to show what we have, not lean into lacking 💪.

🫶 Autism & ADHD in girls 🫶 is very rarely the first diagnosis. Often referred to as diagnosic overshadowing, I see it again & again in girls I work with. My experience is not uncommon, maybe it has also been your own or your daughters?

It means that all our challenges get lumped under a mental health diagnosis like anxiety or depression, leaving no space to look at the possibility of neurodivergence underpinning our experiences.

I will be exploring this in detail over the coming weeks, for those new 👋 I hope it will be helpful?

🫶 Nervous system regulation 🫶 doesn't look the same for ADHD & Autistic minds. We can't look at everything in a linear step by step progression. Regulation equals greater capacity, which equals resilience.

It just doesn't work like this for those of us that live in a more sensitive, hypervigilent nervous system. Realistically our starting point is LESS demands before readiness for regulation is found.
