The Tower is one of the most feared cards in tarot, but most of the time it doesn’t appear to punish you. It appears when something in your life has already become unstable long before it finally starts falling apart.

A relationship built on pretending.
A version of yourself built on survival.
A life held together by fear, avoidance or constantly abandoning your own needs.

And usually, deep down, you already knew.

That’s the difficult part about this card. The Tower rarely brings completely unexpected truths. It tends to reveal the ones you’ve been trying not to look at for a very long time.

Yes, change can feel painful. Things can suddenly shift. People can leave. Plans can collapse. Certainty can disappear overnight.

But sometimes the breakdown isn’t the tragedy.

Sometimes the tragedy is how long you stayed somewhere that no longer felt true for you.

The Tower doesn’t destroy your life. It clears away what can no longer hold the weight of who you’re becoming.

The Hermit is one of the most misunderstood cards in tarot, because people often assume it’s about loneliness. But most of the time, it appears when your soul is simply tired of noise.

Too much pressure. Too many opinions. Too much performing, explaining, reacting, overthinking.

Sometimes growth doesn’t look like “putting yourself out there”. Sometimes it looks like pulling your energy back long enough to hear your own thoughts again.

And yes, people around you might not understand it. They might think you’ve changed, become distant, antisocial or cold.

But there’s a difference between isolating yourself and finally realising you need space to reconnect with yourself again.

The Hermit appears when clarity can no longer be found in constant stimulation. When your nervous system, your mind, your body and your intuition all quietly begin asking for the same thing: slowness.

Because sometimes the answer you keep searching for outside yourself only becomes visible once everything becomes quiet enough inside.

🌿 Where do I need more silence in my life?

There’s always a moment before change where everyone thinks you’re making a mistake. Including you.

This card often appears when a part of you already knows you can’t stay where you are forever. Not because your life is terrible, and not because everything is falling apart, but because something inside you has quietly outgrown it.

The difficult part is that growth rarely feels logical at first. It usually feels uncomfortable, unfamiliar, risky… and the people around you might not understand it either.

Because from the outside, choosing yourself can look impulsive. Walking away can look irresponsible. Starting over can look stupid.

But staying somewhere your soul no longer fits has a cost, too!

The Fool doesn’t ask you to be reckless. It asks you to trust yourself enough to take one honest step toward the life that keeps calling you, even if you’re not fully ready yet.

Journal prompts:

🌿 Where am I staying only because it feels familiar?
🌿 What part of my life have I quietly outgrown?
🌿 What would change if I trusted myself more than other people’s opinions?

One of the most confusing dynamics in relationships
is when someone chooses you… sometimes.

When they come close, then pull away.
When they give effort, then disappear.
When they make you feel important one week
and uncertain the next.

Because little moments of love can create a lot of hope.

And hope makes people stay longer than they should.

But consistency matters.
Clarity matters.
Emotional safety matters.

Being wanted when it’s convenient
is not the same thing as being fully chosen.

A lot of people think attachment only comes from love.

But sometimes attachment comes from confusion.

From mixed signals.
From almosts.
From conversations that never really finished.
From disappearing and coming back.
From never fully knowing where you stood.

The mind keeps trying to solve what feels unresolved.

That’s why some relationships stay in people’s bodies for years.
Not because they were deeply healthy or fulfilling,
but because the story never felt complete.

And humans struggle to let go of open emotional loops.

I think this is one of the most painful realisations in relationships.

Because it would almost be easier
if the other person never cared at all.

But sometimes they did care.
Sometimes they loved you in the way they were capable of.
Sometimes they meant the beautiful things they said.

And still…
they couldn’t meet you consistently.
Couldn’t communicate properly.
Couldn’t choose the relationship fully.
Couldn’t give you the safety, effort, or clarity you needed.

That’s the part people struggle with.

Because when someone is completely cold,
it’s easier to leave.

But when someone gives you just enough love,
just enough hope,
just enough moments that feel real…

you start grieving not only the person,
but the version of the relationship
you kept believing it could become.

A lot of people say they don’t know what to do.

But many times… they do.

They already feel that something is off.
That the relationship hurts more than it heals.
That they’ve been waiting for change for too long.
That they keep accepting things they said they never would.

But clarity is uncomfortable.
Because once you fully admit something to yourself,
you can’t unsee it anymore.

And then eventually comes the harder part:
the decision.

So instead, we stay in the “maybe.”
Maybe they’ll change.
Maybe it’s just a phase.
Maybe one more conversation will fix it.

Sometimes the mind keeps searching for answers
because the heart already knows what it’s avoiding.

You’ve seen this before.
Maybe in a relationship. Maybe in work. Maybe in how you treat yourself.

And yet, something keeps you there.

Awareness is the first step.
But it’s not what changes your life.

If this resonates, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
You’re welcome to sit with me.

I didn’t find tarot by accident. It met me somewhere along my own path, and what started as curiosity slowly became one of the most powerful self-awareness tools I’ve ever used.

What I love about tarot isn’t prediction - it’s perspective. Behind the symbols, there’s depth: layers, patterns, truths we often don’t want to look at, but somehow recognise immediately when we see them.

Yes, tarot can point towards future possibilities. But your future isn’t set in stone. It shifts with your choices.

And to choose differently, you first have to see clearly where you are right now, how you got here, and what patterns are quietly shaping your decisions.

For me, this is where tarot becomes something else entirely.

The real magic happens in that moment when something clicks - when I see it in someone’s eyes, that spark of recognition. When they realise: “I’ve been here before… and now I see why.”

Because that’s where things begin to shift.

From that point on, you’re no longer just reacting to life - you’re actually choosing.

And maybe the most exciting part is this: there are versions of you who would choose differently. Who would create a different outcome, a different experience, a different life.

And that version of you isn’t somewhere far away. It’s available to you now.

🌿

If you feel like it’s time to untangle your own patterns,
I’d love to hold space for you.

You’re welcome to join me for a 1:1 session
or one of my small, relaxed group spaces.
