I've been so busy lately that I keep forgetting to update this page with my adventures and offers so in July I'm going to try and start to change that and to post a little more often!

I can't believe it's already July! The sun is out, the energy of nature is in full swing so what better time to place a focus on moving your life in a similar direction. A little invitation to each of you readers this month is to see, find and spread as much joy as you can!

Look for the glimmers, the moments that make you smile, that help you connect with life and the world around you.

There is a saying that the more you look the more you will find so to help you in your joy seeking I've created a little 'Joyful July' challenge to help you on your way.

You can do one each day as an inspiration or go full pelt and treat it like Bingo ticking them off as quickly as you can.

There's no right or wrong way to approach joy, the important thing is simply making a start!

Go!!!! 🙂💖🥳

This was an offer that I put out last year but my body decided it needed it's own physical healing journey instead so for that and a multitude of other reasons life for both me and others decided it was not the time to do it!

Spring has definitely made an appearance and following the in-person Shamanic Monday visions it feels like now is a good time to revisit it!

For those who said they were interested last year I'll get back in touch and you'll be top of the offer list if you still feel it is something you want to do but there is still potential space for others if they are interested and want to reach out.

Before I get to that point though I wanted to begin with some gratitude's for this week....

🌟Thank you to all the beautiful, amazing and magical women who were able to come and share the space of the Shamanic Monday session with me last week. It was a joy.
🌟Thank you to those of you who couldn’t make it but still contribute to the energy and magic of the Shamanic Monday's group. I am learning so much and am deepening my connection to my own Spirits as a result of each of you.
🌟Thank you to the Spirit of the drums that held us as we journeyed and the Spirit of Fire for holding our circle.
🌟Thank you to anything or anyone I’ve forgotten to thank, all the helpers seen and unseen and the Spirit of Cresswell Village Hall that holds and loves us each time we are there.
🌟 Thank you to the NHS and all those who work hard helping others despite the challenging circumstances. The NHS is a piece of magic we should all fight hard to keep.

There’s a magic in bringing more gratitude into our hearts and our everyday lives. I invite you to lean into that magic this week and ponder perhaps...

Who do you need to thank?

What are you grateful for?

How can you share gratitude with others around you right now to bring more joy, nourishment and growth to both you and them?

Be you.

Be wonderful, magnificent you.

Always.

And for those who feel they are at a sticking point in being able to be themselves the offer below might be something you want to explore. If it is, reach out and I'll send you more info. 🦋✨

I've been having lots of discussion recently about how much sadness is in the news and how overwhelming the chaos around the world seems to be and I've been feeling that a lot in my body lately.

The sun is shining today in Northumberland and as I was catching up with emails with the sun on my back a newsletter from the inspirational Catherine Wright touched my heart with this little offering that she shared.

I thought perhaps that others hearts might also need a similar reminder so I invite you to pause, read it, go and let the sun shine on your face and look for the wonder that's still around us everywhere as the wheel turns towards the Spring.

Today’s Headline

And then one day, while I read

aloud to my husband the news

and felt the widening hole in my heart,

he raised his hand to quiet me.

I followed his gaze out the window

to see in the yard a small fluffy thing

with black and white eyespots on its head.

A northern pygmy owl beside our door,

stout body slightly smaller than my fist.

It turned its neck a full half circle

to look at me with bright yellow eyes.

In an instant, I shifted from disgust

with the world to awe. Awe for this

fierce bespeckled miracle, this wonder

of feather and beak and claw, this

small being in the grass looking back

at me as if to say, Here is also the news.

How surprising the world can be.

How quickly, when I let it, amazement

overwrites my fear and makes

of the hole in my heart a home.

In conjunction with Northumberland Recovery College I facilitate their Happiness & Meditation club on a Friday morning focusing on building our happiness 'tool kit' so that we can each move through the year in a more resilient, positive and happier way so that we can move towards our own goals and dreams.

In the last session we spent a little bit of time softening our hearts so that we could lean a little more into what it is they desire while considering things we'd like to let go of so we can move closer to where we want to be. We also spent a little bit of time coming up with our own mottos/mantras that we can use in the year ahead to support this.

Being mindful of our own self talk is an important step in moving towards happiness and the belief we hold in ourselves and the others we choose to have around us. We shared wisdom and a sense of connection with each other as we explored what our motto's for this year might be and we thought we might share some of our list in case it inspires you the reader to create your own!

✨Relax, let go, unwind.
✨Aspire not to have more, but to be more.
✨Think about it, don't guilt about it!
✨Notice what you notice!
✨Doing nothing is doing something!
✨Kindness is the key!
✨You can do anything but not everything!
✨In silence and stillness the truth can be heard.
✨No is a full sentence.
✨I matter and my choices will reflect this moving forward.
✨Plan & Book!
✨Start where you are. Keep going.
✨Caring for yourself does not mean caring less for others.
✨Be your own best friend.
✨Sometimes we have to remind ourselves to find something beautiful in the ordinary.

There was so much wisdom in the conversations we shared and so much power in spending some time focusing on the positive talk we can speak to ourselves instead of the whispers of negativity that often seem louder.

The invitation here is to be curious about your own self talk and the mottos you might use to bring a little bit of 'softness' into your heart this year to support moving this talk into a direction that nourishes and allows you to move closer to your own version of happiness.

We'd love to hear some of your favourite mottos/sayings that help inspire you so please do share them in the feed below! The more nourishment I read the less doom scrolling I do, so don't be shy and if you'd like more information about the Happiness & Meditation Club feel free to get in touch! 😍😁😍

A follow up for all of you who sent me names for tonight's remembrance ceremony. Please see photos and message below from the ceremony this evening.

Feeling blessed at sharing space with the grief and remembrance of others. There was so many names in the bowl and so much heat and love in the room from the light they all gifted!
A little something for each of you. An invitation to take from the words what feels right for you and to leave whatever does not✨💛✨💛✨💛✨

To all those who offered names to the bowl of love, know that grief and love are two parts of the story shared by each of you.
There is space for grief but there is also space for life. It is important to remember this on your journey ahead.

I (we) started the ceremony today with a song (Imelda May – Home) and a question ‘What is Love?...’

What indeed is love?...it occurs to me that it is simply all that you each gifted today in the names of those you sent. It is the love you each still feel that allows your loved ones to live on through each of you.

Love is not only the question, it is also the answer.

Love. Dearly, fiercely, frankly, honestly, compassionately, courageously. It does not matter how it only matters that you do. This is how you honour the memory of those you miss dearly. You love with all that you are able to give.

It is always enough.

May you each feel the love of those no longer with you supporting you to move forward.

Moving forward does not mean forgetting, it means honouring and remembering that love is the key to all the doors ahead.

May you each remember how much you are loved and the difference you make just by being you.

Be you.

Be love.

The world needs more of that!

And when you feel lost, overwhelmed or as if it is all too much. Take a moment, a breath and reach into your heart and hold on to the love you are offered this night. Sit in community with others. Ask for help. There is healing to be found in those spaces. There is healing to be found in love!

Holding each of you in love and hoping that as you move forward, the journey gifts you all you need to help you heal and feel the love you so very much deserve.

Your light still shines! 💖✨🌝💖

Kind blessings,

Ashleigh

The holiday season is often a time when grief and loss can hit the hardest or feel the heaviest. It’s also a time where many of us want to honour those we miss in a special way.

In partnership with Northumberland VCSE Mental Health Alliance we’re offering a simple, inclusive way to honour the memory of loved ones by holding their names in a sacred space of love and gratitude.

It's our way of helping create a space for grief for those who can’t join an in person event or who are just not ready to share their grief with others or who perhaps just want to mark a point in the year in a special way.

I'll be doing a special ceremony on Sunday 28th December offering people the opportunity to send the names of those they miss (or want included for any other reason) to be held in a sacred space of love.

A candle will be lit at 7pm to honour both them and you, along with the journey you shared with each other.

Making space for grief is also making space for love so if you’d like to be involved simply share the name of the person(s) you would like honoured in the feed below or message me or email the details to [email protected] and I'll add them to the bowl of love ❤✨💖
