Yesterday North East Lighthouse Charity members were Live on BBC Radio Newcastle with Anna Foster talking about the incredible work of the charity and why it matters so much across the North East and the wider UK.

Construction can be a tough industry, and no construction worker should ever feel alone. The Lighthouse Charity provides vital emotional, mental and financial wellbeing support to those who need it most.

By having open, honest conversations, we normalise asking for help, we look out for each other, and we build a stronger, healthier industry together.

White Van Roadshows are well received from the industry โ€“ minimal disruption on site, ie workers attend the talks in groups of 10-15 for approx 30 mins at a time, rather than being off site at a health and safety event for half a day (minimum). The visit has lasting impact and helps when their own health and safety team need to give toolbox talks etc. There is no financial cost to those hosting the Roadshow other than allowing their workers and subcontractors to attend the half hour sessions, preferably by trade, as the talks can then be tailor-made, and hosts can advertise that they are supporting the White Van Roadshow Tour.

Huge thanks to Morgan Sindall Construction & Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd for hosting our teams on their sites this week. If you are on any of the below sites look out for the team on site.
