WAUGHS WELL WEDNESDAY WALK from EDENFIELD 6mls 280m ascent
Meet outside Rawstrons Arms Edenfield 09:30 26th August
I’ve been asked to put this walk on over the summer, so here it is.
Waughs Well by what must be the easiest route, but it’s still a good walk, 3 miles up and three miles down. So a fair way. We’ll take it very easy though with plenty of stops for chats, photos, lunch, etc.

Hardcastle Crags Woodland Wellness Walk 09:30 Sunday 9th August
TOWARDS THE END OF THE WALK WE’LL HAVE A TOUR OF HEPTONSTALL
Easy Paced Summer Wellness Walk through the Beautiful Hardcastle Crags West Yorkshire. Walk will be around 7.5 miles 300m ascent & mostly amongst woodland in the crags.
We’ll be walking from Heptonstall Village centre, after meeting up at the ‘Cross Inn’, down into Midge Hole & then following the river up towards the top of the crags via Gibson Mill before returning, slowly gaining height, to the Village of Heptonstall.
The walk is hilly in a few places, but we’ll take our time.
Heptonstall is a particularly interesting village, once being the home of Sylvia Plath, & her Husband Ted Hughes.
Her grave is in the churchyard.
The Crags themselves are Awesome! 😊

A WEEKEND WANDER AROUND GLASSON
Saturday 15th August 09:00 start to keep ahead of tides
A nice easy pretty much level walk of less than 7 miles. No rush, time for photographs, looking at the birds etc & anything of interest that we can add.
Magnificent Views: Lune Estuary, Cockerham Sands & Marshlands, Sunderland Point, & some Lovely Sea Views. Bring binoculars.
Bring water, some lunch, waterproofs just in case, sunlotion.

There’s a variety of accommodation in Aberdaron from Campsites, bunkhouses, hotels, B&B’s to Glamping Pods and Static Caravans.
I’ve opened a waitlist to judge response and doing it now as accommodation could be difficult to come by if we wait until later in the year to book.
