Despite the name… there’s NO ocean water in it! 😂🌊

Salt Water Taffy is a soft, chewy American confection made from sugar, corn syrup, butter and flavourings. It’s pulled and stretched during preparation, creating that deliciously soft, light, stretchy and pillowy texture 😍

📖 A little history…

Salt Water Taffy is believed to have originated in Atlantic City, New Jersey, around 1880. After a coastal storm flooded a candy shop with seawater, the owner jokingly called the candy “salt water taffy”… and the iconic name stuck! 🌊🍬
