Raised and educated in Newport, Liam has strong foundations and knowledge of the local area. Trained from the age of 17 in Newport, Liam has gained valuable experience from the many years he’s spent working in the profession. Working meticulously throughout all aspects of the profession, Liam has worked in every position from Funeral Operative, Funeral Director to General Manager; Liam has a wealth of knowledge and experience, which will be implemented into the core values of the service we offer. Supported by an experienced and fully trained team, our services are available to you day or night. If given the privilege to act on your behalf, your loved one will remain in our dedicated chapel of rest until the day of the funeral service. We also offer a full Monumental Masonry service. Our team of highly skilled stonemasons have the combined skills and knowledge of all aspects of the Memorial industry. We can produce both standard memorials and those that meet our client’s exact specifications. Our memorial masons are fully qualified and accredited by B.R.A.M.M (British Register of Accredited Monumental Masons).

It feels like Newport Show was ages ago now, but we wanted to say a final thank you to everyone who came along to see us and supported us on the day.

We had a fantastic time at our first Newport Show, meeting so many familiar faces as well as introducing ourselves to new ones from across the local community.

We’re also delighted to share that, thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise £110 for Newport Cottage Care, supporting the fantastic and vital work they provide within our community.

Thank you again to everyone who stopped by, had a chat and supported us. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a brilliant local event and look forward to hopefully seeing you all again next year.

Much loved Wife to the late Phillip. A Loving Mom to Justin and step-son Andrew. Adored Nanny to all her Grandchildren.

Funeral Service, 11.30am, Monday 10th August, 2026 at Bushbury Crematorium, Wolverhampton.

We had a brilliant day exhibiting at our first Newport Show! Thank you to everyone that stopped by to chat with our team and to see the Tractor and Landrover hearse, allowing us to discuss the various options available to make a farewell completely personalised.

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, friends and families that we’ve had the privilege to serve. We really appreciate everyone who took the time to visit, ask questions and support us. Events like these wouldn’t be the same without such a fantastic community.

Congratulations to Mel who won our ‘Guess the Name of the Bear’ competition. The bear was named Edward. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your voucher for Immi’s Cakes and Bakes! 🧁 We also proudly raised over £100 for Newport Cottage Care Centre.

Thank you to Katie, Emily and Billy for your help and support today. Without your hard work, yesterday wouldn’t have been possible! ❤️🎩

We are looking to welcome a Casual Funeral Operative to join our dedicated team at Liam Stafford Funeral Directors & Stonemasons.

This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting families at one of the most important times in their lives. Duties will include driving our funeral vehicles, bearing on funerals, assisting with the care and preparation of funeral services, and helping to ensure every family receives the highest standard of service.

Experience isn’t essential. Full training will be provided, so we’re looking for the right person rather than previous experience.

If you are:
• Compassionate and respectful
• Reliable and professional
• Smart in appearance with excellent personal standards
• Flexible and available to work on a casual, as-required basis
• Hold a full UK driving licence

We’re delighted to be attending Newport Show 2026!

This year marks our very first time exhibiting at Newport Show, and we couldn’t be more pleased to be part of such a well-loved local event that brings our community together.

As your highly rated, independent local family funeral directors, we believe in breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for our community to get to know the people behind the profession. Newport Show provides the perfect opportunity to meet our friendly team, ask questions, and learn more about what we do.

Be sure to visit our stand where you’ll be able to see our family’s vintage 1960s tractor alongside the unique Land Rover hearse. Offering you the opportunity to see how we can personalise every farewell.

We’ll also be running a fun “Guess the Name of the Bear” competition, with the chance to win a voucher from Immi’s Bakes! All money raised from the competition will be donated to support the wonderful work of Newport Cottage Care Centre.
