Emma Spencer, a Social Prescribing Link Worker from the Durham East Primary Care Network visited the Peer Support Women’s Wellbeing Club (WWC) on Wednesday - thank you for attending Emma. 🤝
Emma shared valuable insights into her vital role and how social prescribing connects people to local support. It was a fantastic session filled with hope and community connection.
Thew group offers a warm, confidential environment for women (18+) to connect. These informal, relaxed gatherings bring people together over tea, coffee, and cake to share experiences, build friendships and make sure no one feels alone. Dedicated to you and your wellbeing it is a place to build your confidence, be truly listened to, and enjoy occasional visits from friendly guests sharing fun crafts, self-care ideas and wellbeing tips.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next session on 25 August from 10am at Pelaw View Community Centre .
If you are nervous and would like a team member to meet you outside beforehand, please email Sandra at [email protected] for a friendly welcome. You also don’t have to stay the full duration drop in and out when you please.
