Calm Waters Hypnobirthing & Pregnancy Yoga

Calm Waters Hypnobirthing & Pregnancy Yoga Hi, I’m Keeley – The Yoga Midwife 💛 Midwife since 1997, mum of 2, grandmother of 4. An hour just for you & your baby to move, breathe & connect. 💕

I blend yoga, midwifery & hypnobirthing to help women feel calm, strong & empowered in pregnancy & birth. Pregnancy Yoga Classes are designed to encourage balance within the body and calmness in the mind to encourage a well positioned baby and positive mind set for a comfortable pregnancy, birthing and onwards for mum and her baby. We explore exercises and breathing methods to help us through labo

ur reducing anxiety, the need for analgesia, avoiding common problems and promoting safe birthing. The Hypnobirthing course aims to educate and support women and their birthing companions so they may experience a positive, calm and comfortable birth. HypnoBirthing® teaches mothers and their birthing companions proven techniques to use antenatally, postnatally and during birth. These techniques if regularly practiced can reduce or eliminate the need for drugs or intervention and ensure that birthing is a positive experience not a traumatic memory. As a midwife I have witnessed how these techniques lead to a calmer and therefore quicker birth with empowering results for the mother and all involved. The classes give birthing companions purpose and a role in the pregnancy/birthing experience as they learn the best way to support their partners and babies through this special time. It is noticeable that babies born to HypnoBirthing® mothers are more calm and alert and breastfeeding initiation is smooth and prompt directly following their birth. The course consists of 4 weekly sessions and are suitable from 20 weeks gestation (the earlier the better to allow for plenty of practice). Classes are small to allow for personal interaction and plenty of learning opportunity so book early. Content includes:
Identify the birthing muscles and learn how to work with them for optimal results
Create a Birthing Plan to support your birthing choices
Learn how to set up a birthing environment to support a positive outcome and what to pack or prepare
Breathing techniques to aid relaxation to mother and improve oxygenation to the birthing muscles and baby
Relaxation Methods
Visualisation
Releasing limiting thoughts
Antenatal interaction and play with baby
How to make informed decisions throughout pregnancy and birth
Breast feeding advice

This Tuesday's Pregnancy Yoga focus's on Gratitude.

How we view our bodies and the birth process can deeply shape our experience.
Be thankful for your body — it is your home, your vessel, and right now, it is performing a miracle. It's creating life, and even the most brilliant minds in the world cannot fully explain the mystery of that first spark — the divine moment of creation, the God factor.

Your body is not only creating but also sustaining life. In our fast-paced, modern world, this often gets overlooked. We place immense pressure on ourselves to be the unshakable warrioress society expects. But during pregnancy, it’s vital to slow down.

Take a moment.
Thank your body.
Nourish it with good food.
Move it gently with love.
Embrace stillness.
Let others care for you, too.

Trust in your body. Trust in Mother Nature. She knows what to do.
You are amazing. 💛

Tuesday’s PREGNANCY YOGA CLASS Prepare your body and mind for birthing. Take time to connect to your unborn whilst toning, stretching and learning to breath effectively, preparing for that very special birthing day. How we prepare in pregnancy affects the way we birth, our health, our baby’s development of their soul, their emotions and physical health and the way we bond with our baby. Discussion this week will be about one of the body’s greatest achievements the placenta, an amazing organ which does so much without the acknowledgement it deserves.

PREGNANCY YOGA this TUESDAY. Focus is the emergence and greeting your baby for the first time. That wonderful moment that needs no interruptions to allow mother nature to ensure baby transitions gently to their outside world and bonding to happen. Then we have a beautiful guided relaxation, one of my favourites to close the class. If you would like to join us message me or email [email protected] (picture from Birth in Awareness)

Pregnancy Yoga - Tuesday’s class focus is 'Moving Down and Out Part 2’. How your yoga practice can guide you in the birthing stage of labour, revisiting the birth breath and discussing how Mother Nature has prepared your body and baby for the emergence phase. If you would like to join us email me on calmwaters@live .com or message. It doesn't matter if you are a practiced yogi or you are new to yoga, all are welcome.
