๐Ÿ’™ Move, enjoy, and feel the difference!

Regular physical activity can help disabled children and young people to develop stronger muscles, better balance and coordination, improved concentration, greater confidence, and better mental wellbeing. ๐ŸŒŸ

โฐ How much activity?
The guidance recommends working towards 20 minutes of physical activity each day for health benefits. It doesnโ€™t have to happen all at once โ€” small amounts throughout the day count too! Start where you are, build up gradually, and choose activities that are enjoyable and manageable. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Protect yourself and your loved ones from RSV this winter

๐Ÿฆ  RSV is a major cause of chest infections and can be particularly dangerous for infants, older adults and people with certain health conditions.

RSV can cause serious illnesses such as pneumonia and bronchiolitis in babies, which can lead to hospitalisation and, in some cases, can be life-threatening.

๐Ÿ’‰ The RSV vaccine is offered free on the NHS to:

-๐Ÿคฐ Pregnant women from 28 weeks of pregnancy

-๐Ÿ‘ต Adults aged 75 and over

-๐Ÿซ Adults aged 65โ€“74 who have a chronic respiratory condition or are immunosuppressed due to disease or treatment.

๐Ÿ“… Appointments are available now for eligible patients.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Call reception on 0115 8965 001 to book your appointment.

Getting vaccinated can help protect you and those most vulnerable to serious RSV illness.

๐ŸŒธ Moving your body can be part of your postnatal wellbeing journey.

Being physically active after childbirth can support fitness, mood, sleep, muscle strength and a healthy return towards pre-pregnancy weight.

Whether itโ€™s gentle walking, cycling, swimming, home-based activity or pelvic floor exercises, start gradually and listen to your body. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ’™ Be active every day โ€” every minute counts!

Physical activity can benefit your health at any age. Regular movement can support sleep, manage stress, maintain a healthy weight and improve quality of life, while reducing the risk of several long-term health conditions.

Aim for 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity each week, plus strength-building activities at least twice a week. For older adults, balance activities are also important. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถ

And remember: some activity is better than none!
